    Not a very good solution. Why is it like this? We don't get to tailor equipment to map before battle starts. Losing time in garage is already a penalty. Adding SD+spawning to that just double-downs on the penalty.
  2. Unless you are playing in a map like Sandal or Iran, the hornet with OD will be one-shotting that Hunter long before it gets to use it's OD. Being able to ignore ALL protections and equip a long-range high-damage turret is just too OP. As Diesel says above - they can easily find ways to avoid the high-damage areas. They are used to pop-and-shoot. Now they get to one-shot most enemies during these pop-and-shoots. Viking OD is similar, but lasts ~ 1/3 the time. If only 1 target available at that moment, they likely get 1 kill. Hornets OD lasts much longer and recharges much faster.

    It's funny how Dictator does not get much love. It may not be the best personal OD, but in team battles, if one team has at least 1 Dictator and the other does not, team with Dictator is more likely to win.

    My alt did that last night in Industrial Zone - finshed top-3 winning team without capping once. Targeting the side entrance to the cap-area, I was getting many double and triple kills with Gauss + DD.

    No "special attack" via stock or alterations Can only damage 1 opponent at a time runs out of energy fairly quickly Often first target in a group (because it can keep the flag bearer alive) and they also kept nerfing the scoring on it with healing - was not worth using if you had mission that requires you to be in upper half of team
  7. Doesn't (stock) Isida have highest DPS in game? Isida can heal, but unless it's equippped with the alt I wouldn't classify it as a healer. That makes it sound impotent in combat - which s far from the truth.

    It's ok. Biggest issue is splash. Hunter OD - you want to be close to enenmies. Gauss - you don't. So you won't be using OD as often as with other hulls. I prefer Dictator with Gauss. Free DD lets you get more damage/kills.
  9. Everyone at that rank uses supplies. The secret to success is to play 7-10 hours per day. And then has the nerve to say it's "easy"... :rolleyes:
  10. I alternate it with Gauss, mostly on a medium hull - can get decent scores depending on my objective. Is still great as suppressive fire in defensive or mid-field role. But what bothers me most is the spin-up time. Have yet to use Vulcan with the "new" mammoth.

  12. It's not as bad as you might be suggesting. For close-range turrets maybe - they can be damaged or killed as they try to get in range. But the majority of hornet players use long-range weapons like Rail, or Gauss. They activate under cover, pop out for 1-2 seconds and hit (usually kill) a target, then pop back behind cover. They don't need to place themselves in danger like other hulls such as Wasp, Hunter or (now) Mammoth need to do.
  13. Not sure why you would think this. There were tons of hornets before ODs were brought to game There are tons of hornets in the game now. In Pro-battles no supplies you still see lots of hornets. Hornet-Rail is a very popular combo - there will always be lots of them in the game (assuming Devs don't wreck either of those items on their own)

    With the exception of meteortite days I'd say Mammoth is the least-used. Hard to win team battles without at least 1 dictator.
  15. Wut you said ^. 20 seconds duration and 1-shot kills are just brutal. It's like they never tested it in "game-situations"... :blink: Viking can potentially get as many kills as Hornet during it's OD, but Viking has to be way more strategic on using it. Has to be well-set up before hitting shift or it's potential waste.

    And when special event is done? (why are they ignorng you as you approach drop-zone?) What specifically makes it more powerful than before? Full healing on activation << 5 seconds of immortality.

    Hold on... they shouldn't nerf Lifeguard because it is supposed to be OP (in that situation)? But mammoth should be changed because it was OP (in that exact same situation)? They fundamentally changed mammoth because of one single situation in an event - situation that does not happen 99% of the rest of the year. Before mammoth could be used pro-actively, albeit for only 5 seconds. Now... it's pretty much reactonary - the "restore life" part is only useful if you're already under effects or being damaged. Should be easy enough for enemies to "encourage" it to use the OD prematurely in order to save itself. Then the kill-on-contact is a wasted feature.

    Problem with Devs is... it's all or nothing. That long-winded speach about doing major changes because minor ones don't work was laughable. They should have tried going from 90% turret-slow to ~ 50% turret-slow. Now, anyone with freeze protection will not even notice their turret being affected. Freeze has been gutted.

    They did the same thing with Vulcan. Gave a damage buff and also a huge increase to spin-up time. No-one was asking for a damage buff to vulcan... Wasn't this the whole point of the Mammoth OD? How is that any different? When they advertised ODs before they came out, that was a major "selling point", no? invulnerability...
  20. To be "fair"... Matchmaker was doing that 9 months ago. it's a special treat to wait a minute or two, then get placed in a battle just as it ends. :rolleyes:

    Also pairs well with the OD. 3 seconds of unprotected ricco damage is pretty lethal.

    At_Shin has a point... it really does not matter if the bomb deactivates the OD or not. Mammoth will flee (basically wasting the OD it just used) or realize it won't make it and not use the OD. It's not a buff that offsets the loss of invulnerability - even though they make it sound that way. It really is dumb with the knee-jerk reaction the Devs have. They made fundamental changes to 2 items (freeze & Mammoth) all because of something that happens in one particular situation (JUG & Meteors).
  23. Yeah - it's not like Hornet-Rail can't do that with 1 shot... from much, much farther away ... ... oh wait... ... :blink: And to sum up OPs postion... Everyone who agrees with me is smart. S-M-R-T. Smart. And everyone who disagrees wth me is dumb. D-U-M. Dumb.
