But you depelted your stash right? before you started avoiding it right? I think I have 27k mines - even uisng sababteur periodically that would last a very, very long time. Disproportionate effect of Hunter? What? They nerfed the range, shortened the duration and increased activation delay. it's hardly OP. Now let's talk hornet OD, where there's no defense aganst it and combined with Rail it can one-shot a medium hull that has DA & 50% protection module. They have been making changes to many of the ODs over time. I dislake OD - all of them - was a mistake to introduce them - so you are preaching to thew choir there...
-
Wasn't condescending - was an actual real suggestion. If you're running out of mines use it less. And then you're also doing parkour - so it's not all on the drone. But as others have said - it needed to be done. Sabateur had a disproportionate effect on battles - especially CTF and it's a Magnum that hides behind cover coming out only to lay more eggs.
-
Drones and Challenges (gold tier) certainly enhance the pay-to-win aspect of the game.
-
Nothing wrong with that. And maybe... don't equip it 24-7. Alternate your drones.
-
A pre-laser shaft could not one-shot medium hulls?
-
"power-leveling"... you mean playing pro-battles? Mostly on this account, which at this point, does not matter as I no longer worry about ranking up. Just get that 40k faster without worrying about supplies.
-
I agree. I have an m4 - used to be my most-used turret. barely use it anymore - mostly because of the Overdrives. Outside of Hunter OD, They really don't mesh well with Isida. One exception is Pro-Battles (no-supply) where you see a ton of Dictator-Isidas co-operating together to slaughter opponent.

Of course it's all opinion. But at the same time it's hard to believe you are objective when the change would only have a positive effect on your play (as the target of Thunder). Also, it's like you don't read any of the posts on this. Huge majority of the users of the turret feel that it is a nerf - and they are right. It's a nerf that did not need to happen. But this is how the Devs "deal" with things. Vulcan is another example that received multiple nerfs that messed up it's usage.
-
NO. And since the change does not really affect your play, it's a bit disingenuous to say "doesn't seem too bad" - considering almost every user of the turret does think it is "too bad"

Daily missions keep getting harder My Lt. General gets... - score points in battle = 2000 + Damage enemy tanks 150000 + Top-3 winning Team x3 They afraid we have too many crystals / containers?
-
This is how they "fix" issues that they have created. Look at how they "fixed" the incendeniary band issue on Vulcan. Nerfed every single vulcan, even if not using the alteration.

In my example above my Titan had SB. So for mammoth, even with SB, to catch me, it's 30% must have stacked somehow with the SB I'm not understanding what you mean by "one maximum speed"... what exactly does that mean? Mammoth speed m4 = 6. Add speed boost of 40% = + 2.4 = 8.4 Then add OD of 50% = +3. So theoretically the max speed of mammoth with SB & OD = 11.4 Are you saying there is some kind of governor that won't let the speed reach ~ 11.4?
-
They used to stack... I know this because a mammoth with OD on caught my Titan with SB on - and this was when OD was only 30% bonus.
-
Who knows when he activated then... as there's that 1.1 second delay. That delay is very frustrating, and anyone who complained about Hunter OD before prob has no idea how it works. My failure rate is prob ~ 40% ... and it really bugs me that if I die before it goes off I lose a big chunk of the charge. It's not like any of the other ODs where they can activate under cover (hornet, Viking, mammoth, dictator) or have virtually no chance of failure (Titan, Wasp).

According to update Hunter range was decreased to 25m. So that means it should be able to affect beacon when on the outer edges of the dome. Congos screen-shot shows a Hunter just barely in the dome and should be disabling it - does not seem to work. So... did hey give us bad info and Hunter range is actually lower than 20m? Which would be pretty crappy as it gets killed often before actually getting off OD.
-
I was pretty close. Which one is activating? iiimel? Looks to be inside the dome. Update 577 says Hunter OD decreased to 25m. What is radius of the dome? Maybe you are seeing it happening more and more because the range of effect is even less than they claim?
-
I agree. Aiming is off. Movement is bouncy and reaction not smooth. It feels like Tanki X - and Tanki X was garbage.
-
Does Pro-battles have diff mechanics for OverDrive than MM? I used hunter OD and it stunned enemies in Titan dome but did NOT remove the dome. I was quite close to the "beacon"
-
Affirmative. Magnum does not belong in this game - game was not desdigned for indirect fire weapons. There's almost no cover from artillery - while there's plenty cover from LOS turrets. And Devs went out of their way to make it better for Magnum when they redesigned a bunch of maps with extra barriers that magnums could hide behind while attacking from safety.
-
Well Magnum can do all it's business without ever putting itself in danger - so that's a giant benefit. Does not really need to be accurate at all - has a large splash radius and... can equip the Mortar alteration. Missing is actually better - still can do splash damage AND lay a mine which most players are not protected against. Gauss still needs line of site and min of 2 seconds exposure. No idea what they were thinking on that Thunder update. Was not needed at all.
-
Striker also has the grace period - so it's not unique to Gauss. Do you dislike getting hit by Gauss more than say... getting hit by a Magnum you can't see or fire back at?
-
How the heck did the Hunter get close enough? Viking using fire or something? I never thought Hunter OD was mindless - even though I've been stunned just like everyone else. I've probably died more from wasp bomb than I have from Hunter hitting me with stun and then killing me.
-
You mean like Hunter now? Oddly enough - I still get caught plenty by the bomb. They usually drop it when you are not moving - from stand-still you can't get away unless you have a light hull.
-
Was a response to Congos post about seeing 4 Gauss on enemy team in one battle... in that one situation equipping Gauss module is definitely worth because half the team was using Gauss.
