I'm so bad with Rail I don't think I survive more than 1 minute. I get way better score killing everyone else with my own combo. Which is why this mode kinda sux - it's very dependent on skill with a specific turret.

I understand where you are coming from - if I could complete missions in Pro-Battles I'd probably play that exclusively. I prefer non-supply battles and I hate the random maps, and the shortened battles as well. Wasting time in garage after joining a battle certainly does not help. I'm relatively new to the Legend battles, being an L2. As MM does not differentiate between L-levels I'm fighting my peers, and also fighting L55's who have many more upgrades and options than I do at present. I have never bought anything with real money - but - due to the mission rewards and containers, I find that I have 8k-10k of each supply except for RKs - where I probably have ~ 2k. Buyers have no advantage on me regarding supplies - with one exception - batteries. So I do encounter what might be buyers with Drones equipped. Don't know enough about them to comment if they make a huge difference or not. The outcome? In MatchMaking battles I can end up anywhere from 1st place winning team to last place losing team. I'd say my average is around 4th position on either team. It is possible to compete without buying. Question for you... Even though your preference may be to non-supply battles (like me), if you are playing team battles through Matchmaker, do you feel there's a possibility you are handi-capping your team by not using supplies - when - maybe everyone on the other team is using supplies? Kind of like OverDrive - it can be frustrating to play on a team where many of my team-mates save OD for golds and refuse to share with team - even as we lose the batttle...

Fire is currently as OP as Freeze was after freeze got that big buff. Then they did a recalibration on freeze and lowered the damage some. They may do same thing to Fire.
-
Enemies Freeze has a hard time with are heavy hulls with DA and/or high protection. It often runs out of juice before target destroyed. Other than that... if you are using a fast hull (medium or light - not Dictator) you can often circle and freeze enemy making them helpless - especially if you ambush them. But if freeze is not to your liking you can get Fire. But I really do think it will get some kind of nerf - it is just way to OP at the moment.

Even though shaft has been beefed up for close-encounters, it still has one-shot kill capability for length of map. So it's still a long-range turret. Players keep talking about DPS ... but - Shaft is not a DPS-type turret. It's advantage lies in dealing a massive amount of damage instantly. DPS turrets like fire and twins are different - they deal damage continuously over a fixed period of time. And Vulcan - have no clue what Devs intended for it... can't recall many players complaining Vulcan was OP. And yet - they gave it an overall nerf. it's useful on some maps. But absolute crap on others. If I really want to play Vulcan on a specific day, there are many maps that MM drops me into that I will just exit immediately - not worth the headache.

I can cap flags in both CTF and Assault for capturing flag missions, and those battle-modes are considered as separate. So it would also make sense to count both regular DM and JUG as similar modes for mission purposes. And it would encourage more players to enter the new mode. I'd never play it unless I had a mission that gave me something useful (not batteries)

So... next map they add to MM is....... ..... ....... Ping-Pong? B)

How is using supplies pay-to-win? You may not like supply-battles (I prefer non-supply battles), but you not liking them does not make it pay-to-win. You should have so many supplies by now that you don't need to actually buy any from garage or shop...

Freeze already received a damage nerf after that giant buff. I don't see freeze running amok like it did for a bout a month after it was first updated. (unlike Firebird right now) You will probably be safe with Freeze if you like how it performs at moment.
-
Oh I get it - they want to kill 5 tanks per minute. From across the map. Boo hoo. I'd say they are more than compensated for by the buff that makes Shaft better up close than smoky. Can now compete well on maps other than Brest & Highways.
-
Did your team have a lead at the time of mass-exodus? This has happened to me - and - even though we had lead, we lost battle due to zero replacements... Why multiple players leave winning team, and why no replacements is a mystery to me.

category Ideas for Hulls and Overdrives!

Looks like a Mowag Piranha - an AFV. Lack of armor is what differentiates AFV from Tanks. Unlike tracked vehicles, wheeled ones can't spread the weight of armor properly. Too much armor and they sink. Don't think there are any wheeled AFVs that have enough armor to be classified as a tank. At best these would be light tanks. But then again - this is a game. :) -
Yup - I have those shafts on my team all the time. Sit there in one spot all game, just picking off tanks as they appear in their LOS. Meanwhile, the flag is stolen and carrier is totally ignored, cuz... it's work to look for them. Shooting a random tank on other side of map rarely helps your team win a CTF...
-
So basically they want to turn it into Tanki-X. Many of the changes over the past year or so have leaned in this direction. They shorten battles one more time and I'm switching to just Pro Battles.
-
So Shaft Arcade has similar reload to smoky, does more damage within 50m, and prob similar damage out to 80m. And this is the "secondary attack"? :o That's just nuts. Not sure why some of the Shaft users are complaining. Does not sound like an overall nerf...
-
So... Shaft Arcade has same re-load as Smoky, does more damage up to 50m, and probably similar damage out to 80m. What the heck are all these Shaft users whining about? Most damage far range, and very good up close as well. Guess they expect one-shot kills every single time they peer in a scope...
-
You'd think so... but in practice, not so much. Only 1 or 2 players are getting lions share of any caps... so then many of these CTFs end up as TDMs... And those 5x or 10x Golds... lol.... half the players ignore the mode completely. 10x Gold is absolute worst.
-
Wait... wut??? :o
-
Players become more selfish during events like Star and Gold. The battle objective becomes secondary, and many times the battles are ruined.
-
Sure you can dodge the initial shots. But.. you gonna keep your head under cover forever? Cuz the turret can fire... forever. Does not really need a damage boost (actually received one last update) - it just needs that ridiculous spin-up time back to original 1 second. Vulcan's problem is targets are out of sight, or it just dies, before the bullets begin to fly.
-
BELL CURVE. See smoky and thunder. Twins and Ricco. Any turret that does not do a fixed amount of damage. Inside the maximum damage range you will do average of max+min/2. Once in a blue moon you will get close to maximum, just like once in a blue moon you will get close to minimum. Of course it makes sense to upgrade - your average damage increases with each MU. Last few MUs are disproportionately expensive. Only do them on sales ~ 50%.
-
Fire - correct Freeze - most recent is a nerf - they increased time it takes to recharge Magnum - correct Ricco - buff + nerf. Has more shots but they decreased the effective range a lot Rail - no comment Vulcan - correct Shaft - no comment Striker - went from useless to slightly useful. Improved but has a way to go...
-
Either that or... Not one matchmaker map will have a right angle. Bounce THAT.
-
Twins never runs out of ammo and has simiular range, higher DPS and overall higher impact. So... why would anyone use Ricco over Twins? Should have reduced the impact - that was the only change needed. Devs have no clue how to do a "balanced" update to turrets - see Vulcan for example.
-
Yes - if you upgrade badger m2 fully, when m3 becomes unlocked you can "buy" it for 0 crystals. Then start upgrading m3.
