Well since we have mission rewards as supplies, containers and weekly rewards, everyone does spam drugs. So yes, twins is OP because it squeezes every second out of DD. Only time Ricco beats twins is when Ricco has some other advantage - either heavier hull, more MUs or better protection.

Was gonna hit "like" on your post until I read the above. Punishing players who leave hopeless battles never works. Never. All it does is drive players away. How does reducing player base make MM more effective? If I leave a battle because it is hopeless (for many reasons) then you remove me, and others like me from pool that will create battles. Less players in the pool is good? And believe me, there will be less players. I'd rather do something else for 9 minutes than play in a slaughter. And would you punish players who get placed in a 4-0 battle with 3 min to go? I leave those in a heartbeat, and nothing - no punishment you devise - will keep me in those battles.
-
And staying is a waste of time in blow-outs. Without early battle termination, leaving is often the better option. Sitting there as punching bag so winning team can pad their scores is a poor solution. You have anything better to suggest?

In it's current form Match-Maker is one of the worst implementations I've ever seen in gaming. MM does not have a clue how to even try to set up "balanced" teams. My alt account just finished 4 games in a row that were complete blowouts. Players soon realize how unbalanced the teams are and quickly leave. And I don't blame them. One of the 4 above battles MM placed me on the losing team half-way through. Needless to say there was no "comeback". Match-Maker stinks like a skunk.

They have different uses and are effective in different ways. And Thunder does not exactly like "close encounters" as it suffers from it's own splash. If smoky and thunder were so much better than rail you would see a lot more of either of those compared to rail. I'm not seeing that evidence on the battle-field.

Prestige. A 2019 corvette ZR1 with 755 hp costs ~ $121,000 US. A 2019 Porsche 911 Turbo with 540 hp costs ~ $161,000 US. Why does the less powerful Porsche cost $40,000 US more than the Corvette? Prestige. Now throw a Bugatti into the mix. Is it 10x better than the Porsche? I don't think so. It's Prestige

Fire has deadly afterburn so it does not need as high DPS - so you are wrong. R-O-N-G. Wrong. Ranged weapons like Rail (and Shaft, and Magnum) don't rely on "DPS" - that stat is irrelevant. It is their ability to do huge amounts of damage instantly that matter. Their ability to one-shot unprotected tanks makes them a big threat. This is why, in addition to being a "common" turret, that many players equip Rail protection by default. Rail has even better "weak" damage than Thunder & Smoky though, right?

It's more expensive and challenging to maintaing a good garage

Titan - is the shield movable? Even if so, tanks must stay near it right? Hornet - yes others can see hidden tanks. Somewhat useful, but not close to same level as all supplies. Hunter - harder to get enemies grouped together than it would be for Dictator to get friendlies grouped together. Dictator IMO would still have the most team-friendly and flexible OD. -
valid ASL mode-if a red holds the flag for more than 1 minute, the flag automatically drops

This is not Russia circa 1942 - you are trying too hard to be a "Stalinist Russian" This idea would do more harm than good. We would see > # players killing team-mates than we would # players just holding onto the flag. The players holding onto flag in Assault is so rare it's a non-issue. There are more players in regular CTF refusing to cap the 7th flag just so team can pad their scores. -
Useful - but - seems weak compared to many of the other effects. At best it's like DD, but at lower ranks where modules are 25% or less, it does not have much of an impact on the battle. And against enemies that don't have a module, there is no benefit at all.
-
Depends on what you used it for. I liked it for the range with alteration. They've taken that strategy away. A buff for some players can be a nerf for others.
-
I want to play the players you are playing... Sure that happens on small maps because the "rusher" will be on the ranger too quickly for it to matter. On larger maps? They use cover or they don't do well. You can't base a tactic on hoping your enemy is stupid.

Another "upgrade level" as in... m4 with accompanying m4+ ? Do that and anyone below Legend that has to play Legends will be at a larger disadvantage. The "L" levels really would need to be split into some brackets of their own to prevent a Marshall with m3 from playing a Legend 15 with m4+ I'm with you on dislike of OverDrives - they just make bad battles even worse for the losing team. They do not help the losers make a "come-back" since the leading team generates OD even faster.
-
:o Fire is another level above both freeze and Isida for extreme close range. They went too far with it. At worst for fire attacking isida it's a draw. Isida might kill fire first, but that afterburn will finish the job.

Was a ridiculous update. To be any use at all it has to be spinning-up and spinning down repeatedly throughout the battle. It's like using twins - only half the time you are not shooting any ammo.
-
The recent update nerfed Riccos range but - added way more shots. You don't need to worry about reload speed. By the time you run out of ammo you are dead or your opponent is dead. I have yet to run out of ammo with MFS alt equipped.
-
Did you back-read at all? Or jump into the conversation without any clue? I'm not worried about anything. I have 4 turrets at m3 17/20, so I can swap out if needed. Plus I have 3 hulls at 17/20 and all the modules, many at 48%. And by the way - I must run into a lot of "buyers" as there are a lot of players in my battles with 50% modules. Or maybe, just maybe they are L10+. Not hard to upgrade items with that much time and in-game income. You might want to be a little more informed on the topic before you go ahead and judge someone.
-
They don't differentiate between L1 & L50, so allowing Generals to play Legends is a mistake IMO. Having 1 m3+ combo and a few modules ~ m3 stock just does not cut it. Their opponents can easily have many m4 combos and ALL modules at or near 50%. This is a large gap in power. Especially on the module front. There is no need for this. When Ricosck runs into enemies that can switch to 50% Ricco module, it will be very difficult. I run into them all the time, and if they are Twins, it's game over.
-
Shots are way too slow without MFS. And with more ammo in the pipe, I see no reason to use stock. There is no downside to the MFS.
-
At 50% charge the total reload time is same as before the update. You can fire indirectly with 50% charge, no?
-
Think Twins with less slightly less DPS but bounce-ability. I still recommend the MFS alteration as well so you get at least medium range. The slower reload time is not noticeable with the larger initial energy pool.
-
I got your point - the first time There's a difference between the Devs not doing something many have requested (nerf Magnum in some way) and lying to us directly by saying they are nerfing it, but actually just buffing it. This does not seem to be a useful approach. In my mind there's a decent chance they did not really think it through.. but - you never know.
-
Are ya sure? "This change is designed to make the turret less effective at close range" What's the point in them lying to us out-right? The cat gets out of the bag sooner or later...
-
Thanks for the insight Captain Obvious opinion not fact Are you saying the ODs will make the hulls not balanced, but different? Isn't that what we had before those updates?
-
Shorter battles, players lagging to get into battles (so they start 7 vs 4)... 16 tanks on maps like Sandal, Sandbox and Highland? Match-making battles often just become mosh-pits with little to no actual strategy. As you say.. play to get missions done. Gone are the days when we had decent, competitive 5 vs 5 15 minute battles with strategy. next step will be 7 minute battles - you know - so we don't have to wait in queue so long
