Unless they are also killing each other it must get boring fast - how long can they keep it up? Take some names and leave - don't join DM battles with those players.

Depending on what I see when I do enter these partial battles, my way "to cope" could very well be the little red "x". And for trying to complete missions here's where they become more difficult - Capture Flags - in 10 vs 10 battle odds of capping go down a lot, especially if you are dropped in with only 7 min left - Supply drops - some maps waaaay better than others - but - we can't choose maps - top-3 on winning team ... base chance 50%, then competing against 9 team-mates gives ~ 15% chance of actually accomplishing They might need to just make the mission earn xp or earn crys in "battles" or battle modes

You read this somewhere? What happens if 1-2-3 people leave same team? If queue does not fill them in then battle becomes... unfair. Don't count on never getting placed in a battle that has already started. They did this in their test. I hope it actually works out - as we are giving up a lot of choice when it gets implemented... It may balance the numbers (at start) and maybe it will also trigger OD automatically when the noobs on my team refuse to use it. That's a huge reason why I might exit a battle...

What about when players leave existing battles. Those spots will be filled before a new game is started. In the test MM last yr I ended up in a bunch of battles with 3 minutes left. THREE MINUTES. Obviously they will tweak and it won't be that bad - but - I will not be surprised if I get placed into partially completed battles many times. And guess which side is more likely to have open spots. The "winning team"? or the "Losing" team.

MM won't fix the issue you had last night. You will be randomly dropped into a battle, possibly on a losing team, possibly on a map you don;t like, and possibly only 8 minutes left to go. I don't see how that helps you finish your missions. MM might fix some issues (mults?) but it won't help you finish missions. At least IMHO.

Don't like it. Gives me less time to cap a flag while 10+ tanks fight over 1 box.

I agree there are instances where players just don't manage their resources well and are the authors of their own doom. However... The rank spreads can allow 6-8 ranks difference when joining a battle. There are thresholds where a player, no matter how well he/she saves and MUs - will be facing someone with much better equipment because the next MU level has been available to the enemy for long enough to make it way more powerful. This is not the players fault - but they will suffer. This is even more evident depending on equipment choices - as not all unlock at same rank. Sure this issue would be moot if everyone bought exact same equipment - but that would be boring. Like saying - you have issue with Magnum - just buy magnum too. We both know that is a terrible solution.

If you like your current combo - then yes - keep upgrading that so you remain competitive in battle where you face higher ranks. And yes, target a kit (or two - they are so random you often can't get one you want) that complements your current combo. Obviously don't get two medium hulls, etc...
-
Pro has a slider so you can widen or narrow beyond the default. That range is pretty flexible as is. If the Pro-slider allowed even wider range than current I think it would be tedious to find appropriate battles. Definitely non-Pro should be a bit narrower. Players that still have yet to get M2s are fighting M3s... no balance there.

I hear ya. I bought the Medic kit and it came with original Cherry paint. Shortly after that they introduced the paint separation and modules. I have 2 issues with that... 1) The new Module that came with Kit had better protections than LGC Cherry paint module. 2) The cost to upgrade my inferior LGC module seems much higher than upgrading new modules. hardly seems fair.

You don't need to turn an M3 into M4 overnight. Just keep Mu-ing during sales and you will slowly whittle away the M4 advantages. The difference now is less than 1-2 yrs ago - M3s were all boosted so at most you start with a 13%-14% gap. Personally I'd rather have M3 modules and a couple choices at M3 than trying to make one combo M4 - has diminishing returns. If you have only one combo and run into protections ~ 50%, you are stuck. Having ability to switch between (preferably one shorter-range and one longer-range) a couple turrets to avoid that high protection module outweighs the few % points improvement you get when MU-ing toward M4. I accumulated 3 hulls, 4-5 modules and 4 turrets. Now with every sale I do 1 MU on all my items - never pay for speed-up. So I save a ton of crystals while getting in approx 11 Mus on every single sale. If you had 1 combo, you'd only leverage 3 MUs each sale.

Same here. :D  :( Never use it when I need to complete missions. When I do blow dust off it and take it for a spin, I feel like I'm handi-capping my team, and usually switch to Ricco to try and make the battle close.

Oh - I was just pulling Austen's chain. I don't like fighting much weaker enemies and I don't like them holding back my team either. I've stated numerous times the rank brackets are too wide - they need to be tightened up. Especially with MM where you can't pick. I'd rather have fewer good battles than many bad battles.
-
Yup - some battles should just end - there is absolutely no reason to prolong them. That's why the timer is there - mercy ending.
-
MM-test might have been fun cuz ya got to stomp sergeants. ;)

You really have trouble reading posts - makes me wonder if English is your first language? But at least you finally came out of the closet. B)

From responses I've seen at places in the Forum - not until after match-making is introduced.
-
Well, there are a few people using the BATTLE NOW buttons - that's how those battles you are selecting from get made. Unfortunately that's the ONLY way those battles are made. :( And it's just silly that 3 Brest maps will be created while a bunch of other maps are not in use. They need to add some programming to prevent a duplicate map - or at least lower odds of a duplicate map.
-
I keep trying it - but really as it is the turret is trash. Only good under these conditions... Pro-battles = no speed boosts Flat maps with little cover When you are on a team that is dominating - enemy does not have time to target you as you get lock-ons.
-
Give them a reason to stay. The carrot works better than the stick.
-
Not Magnum? :o Rail/Shaft/Thunder (ye old prodigy) was my default. I'm finding I use Isida/Magnum/Ricco more and more. i bought it for those Polygon slug-fests but - it gets used on many maps. Because ... Magnum.
-
But - at least currently you can choose not to enter battles where you will be the lowest. Balanced teams won't mean squat to those at the low end of the spectrum when teams are formed. IMO - less battles that place players in decent situations is far better situation than more battles with players way out of their league. Of course, the insistence on 10 vs 10 in large-ish only maps only makes it worse.

First off... I said buyers have a different perspective on how easy things might be compared to roughly 85% of the other players. Nothing to do with hating buyers - it's all about perspective. Interesting though that you never explicitly denied spending $$ until this last post. All your other posts were crypitc at best. Keep in mind - buying containers or Bundles is same thing. Not sure why you think I hate buyers or why you are reluctant to admit you buy - as though there's something wrong with that. Secondly - I mentioned supply use because you insinuated I was unhappy with my garage or even struggled against lower rank players. I play Legends 98% of the time - most higher than me, and I have plenty of supplies. I just don't need to use them excessively to succeed. And pretty sure I never mentioned Premium - since it's not that uncommon to get as a reward. I hate to say this - but you're in for a big shock when you advance a few ranks - everyone that has Magnum at my rank knows how to exploit it to it's fullest.
-
Why does your K/D matter?
-
Yeah - if the Ricco alt was removed I would use Ricco as much as I use Striker = rarely. Played in a Pro-battle and was not aware the alterations were turned off. It really was unplayable. It would not be end of world if a tweak was applied - maybe even slightly longer re-charge time, or something of that magnitude. Or tweak the max or min dmg range down a tad. But then you'd have to look at ALL the alterations like - just randomly picking one - FIREBIRD afterburn.
