How is 'earning crystals' easier than earning experience or collecting drop-boxes? At least with "earn experience" it did not rely on your team winning so much. Losing team collects more experience than they do crystals. -
I understand the concept of BER (I think)... but we still may be talking about diff things. Why in your example would a M3/low-skilled player have a higher BER than a skilled M2 player? It is rating vs peers... so I can't imagine the low-skilled M3 player will have the higher rating. Might actually be opposite. Since BER is apparently calculated vs the ones you are playing against... is it possible that a player at M1 ranks could have BER of 500 and a player of M3 ranks also have a BER of 500? If so, the matchmaking could put them in the same battle due to ~ BER. I am saying that should not happen.

1) only true IF those weapons are currently OP - as this is more additional nerf. Is smoky OP right now? I really don't think so. They are not constantly on top of battles more than other turrets. They might annoy you, but that does not make them OP. So you can't just apply another "nerf" that will affect some turrets more than others. That changes the current balance between diff weapons. 2) Smoky might have more impact than Ricco - but - look how many shots Ricco can do in time it takes Smoky to do 2 or 3 shots. Thunder has more impact than smoky - but again - look at reload time. Impact is part of the turret's "charm". ;) And... it doesn't kill you. Inconvenient - yes. damaging - no. -
What hull? Double Armor on? Difference in M-lvl? An M4 Thunder with DD can kill a light hull (with 50% protection) in 2 shots - mind you those two shots are the extreme end of 'high" and very rare.

Not sure I agree on this ^ part... Two people, wide gap in ranks (<> equipment) can have same "efficiency" as it is really a comparator. So... there must be another factor that does not put these two tankers in same battle... that's what I meant by M-lvl.

So... ramping up smokys damage? regular and critical? :) Count me in - I now fully endorse the OPs suggestion! ;) -
I curious though how they are going to measure and grade players "skill". And... Will it be a combination of M-lvl + skill? One might be an awesomely skilled but... an M1 vs M3 still would be too much of a handicap to overcome.

Not sure I'm a fan of the idea - would make some alterations useless. IF something like this was added to the module, I would expect for every % of impact lowered you lose 1% of the protection. So.... default M3 module could provide 25% damage reduction & 10% impact reduction. -
Smokey requires no skills? LOL. have u ever used it beyond the default m0 turret you got for free? It's one of the hardest turrets to aim with - no area effect and has very little "auto-aim".

I don't think there would be nearly as big a back-lash if supplies were indeed "one step better" Problem is, supplies don't make equipment "one step better". One step is anywhere from 14% to 50% better. (look at M0-M1-M2-M3...) Supplies then are 2x to 7x better. Waaaaaay beyond "one step".

I changed it to 0. Then in a battle later on I went to hit 5, and suddenly a Gold was dropping. It re-mapped itself back to 6 :o :( :angry:

You enjoy a battle where the enemy team has no chance... and most leave? 8 min to go in battle and no one on opposite side? So battle ends early and you get a few crystals. Whoop-dee-do. -
I have Hornet as my light hull and Viking as my medium. With suggestions posted by OP they will be almost the same. So... no thanks.

Stay out of... ? "Custom battles"? Where we can play without supplies? No thanks. If only option becomes play normal-battle-drug-wars or custom with no experience I'm done. Sure Legends (or anyone with full garage) might not care - they can play in mode they like while using upgraded equipment. But if I want to play that mode, but won't improve... adios muchachos.

would make short-range weapons completely OP vs long range. isidas wont even have to move.. just heal that Titan vulcan and when shaft shoots you it damages itself??? :unsure: Would be really funny if it was a hornet shaft and does that to itself. 5 shots and it kills itself? Nahhh.... Just improve your own weapons if you want to kill the enemy.

If you hit "3" while your team is being spawn-killed you might be lucky to get off 1 or 2 shots before you're dead. And the one's you are shooting at likely have DA on already - so good luck. And it is even worse with OverDrive... enemy is reaching it much faster since it is ... spawn-killing your whole team. Or maybe you have 50% protection against many turrets that allows you to survive long enough to actually do something? Most my rank or below do not. At least non-buyers don't. -

Big difference though with Twins is... IT. NEVER. STOPS. FIRING. At least Ricco has to recharge - been caught like that a few times by hammer with Ricco protection. Nasty. -

So splash to yourself, but not to any enemies? That makes no sense. At least Thunder damages itself because of the area effect it also has on others... -
