With smart-cool-down times reduced tankers will have all 3 enabled more often. What were cool-down times before update?

OverDrive should not have been implemented as permanent feature until matchmaking system has been rolled out. They should go hand-in-hand. No idea why you insist on rolling them out separately. The battles are even more unbalanced. Since overdive relies on kills, caps, etc the team drugging harder first builds up overdrive more quickly. Then using OverDrive they dominate the other team, who then struggles to obtain OverDrive. This repeats throughout the battle until one side gives up and begins to leave. I have been on both sides of this equation and neither side is fun. Why do you insist on doing these role-outs piece-meal when they create unbalanced battles?

Only way M2 smoky beats M3 Twins is if twins still had splash damage (d'oh!) and the smoky was ramming it. Well, respective hulls might affect the outcome as well. and supplies. and protection modules... Or if the twins player, for some inexplicable reason - stayed within the smoky's "sweet spot". Valid evidence? Which patch? You overestimate my ability to care if I can prove this to your satisfaction. :P Go look them up in the Archives. Or... prove smoky was never nerfed (good luck) -

I guess it depends on circumstances. You might be comparing an m3 against an m4. Or someone using supplies vs someone without. ALL THINGS BEING EQUAL... light or medium hulls... short range weapons will wreck smoky if both turrets within range. Their DPS is just too high. heavy hulls with protection modules? It gets murky now because Freeze/Fire/isida might run out of juice. hammer with 5 shots? Up close smoky loses. But your original comment was that smoky was only turret to not get nerfed. I provided evidence to the contrary. -

Incorrect. Smoky lost Critical damage & minimum damage & reload-time was increased while it received small buff in max damage. Oh yeah - Impact force was also reduced - to below that of Thunder. Then shortly after that reload-time was increased again. So overall - nerfed. -

Only if you remain in same spot. The mines don't follow you (like in Tanki-X). One assumes the re-spawning tanker uses the "extra time" to get out of the kill-zones... -

I can't disagree with anything above - and - I do often leave the battle. But it is not easy to leave if 5 min left in battle and you have a decent score up to then. I just think there's got to be a better system to prevent that scenario - where I've invested time, accrued xp, and then... should just leave? When (way too many) battles become unfair like that, the system is broken. maybe matchmaking reduces this? No idea... -

Isida lost ALL of it's self-healing (while gaining high DPS)... But overall I think Smoky as well - worse re-load, and the nerfed critical make it less potent than it was. -
Not me. I bought Viking before the "re-balance" (re-balance - lol) because I preferred the stability. The extra speed? meh. I was so disappointed when they made the unnecessary change and did not give us option to switch for free. I bought Hornet and Viking because one provided speed while the other provided health+stability. Now I have two hulls that are just too similar. last part is true though - since I've already invested so much in Viking I can't consider Hunter - even though it is now the hull I prefer.

I can see the overheating part. However... IF damage was reduced from alteration) I'd hate to what damage it does when not reduced. :o

I agree the argument about the icon creating imbalance is weak - the icon is just reinforcing one of Isidas attributes. But I disagree about the "Isida should not have any reason to decline their demand". Other tankers don't own the isida. Isidas have multiple roles - one of them being healing. If I have missions to cap flags, I'm going to do that in addition to healing. And sometimes that means someone has to fend for themself for a while or even suck back an RK.

can't remember which thread it was... but one of the Refs (or Cedric?) mentioned there were not enough people playing "normal battles". The other part about it being buyers is just speculation on my part. But I honestly don't think I'm way off base there...

Thing is - u don't really need a paint. Ya get green for free! ;) Paint is a luxury - or status - so if "buyers" want to spend cash on that I don't see the issue. My beef is that they ALSO get so many more sales, larger supply kits (for those who like supplies) and (access to all kits all the time ?)

So you're saying should be > 3 seconds? I can't say with 100% certainty - no time to look at a stop-watch in thick of battle. But it seemed way faster than expected. And I was not only one in game commenting on it. The fact that the Vulcan never. stopped. firing. seemed odd too - even when the Isida was not joined to it's hip. I know fire-modules will reduce damage - but it still should overheat eventually. The jist of it is I can't see how people think Vulcan is under-powered if there was no hacking. No way it should kill faster than it did in that game.

There's tankers with so many they will use one when ... 4 seconds left in CP game + not remotely near a CP - just to maintain their D/L. It's taken me until now to stock 200+ RKs. They just don't hand out that many as free rewards (compared to supply-kits where it's 1:1 with all the other supplies). And took a lot of will-power not to pop an RK in many instances - just suck it up and die since nothing was really on the line at that point. -

Except for weekends, when I play (evenings EST) there are very few Pro-battles. So now I log in, complete a mission or two (especially the crystal ones) and log out. My equipment is not bad for my rank (3 M3 hulls, 3 M3 turrets, one pair 10/20 and others slowly moving up). Completing missions is possible - but uses a lot of supplies. My beef is I don't like the game-play with supplies. Just not my thing. So I guess I just have to hope that once match-making (and Overdrive) arrive, more people will flock back to Pro-Battles. Still might try to complete one-mission/day to keep string going. Grabbing supply-boxes might be harder though with random maps. Time will tell.

I'm thinking it was M3.5-ish vs M3.5. he had DP but I had DA... so they cancel. Still 3 seconds?

Either M3 vulcan waaaayyy stronger than you imply, or someone named griz lee was hacking. Destroyed all M3 hulls in Silence battle in 2 or 3 seconds. It had constant DD (against hulls with DA) and never stopped firing. Never overheated.

That's what DaiDefed is saying here - "It makes sense not to bother much with the matchmaking battles to achieve missions, just join no-supply battles instead..." problem with skipping missions is... that's a lost income. Those that play matchmaking can get free crystals and also play in Custom no-supply as well. They will have an income advantage. Once you've got ~ full garage won't matter so much. But until then...

So all matchmaking (mission-compatible) battles will be random? random Map? That's disappointing. Get placed in maps I hate like Iran and will have to drop out. Then try again. And again...

Seriously? Attitudes like this are why many players just leave the game. So many factors contribute to unbalanced battles - one of them being uneven team numbers. How is it fault of players when some drop out or they have mults on their team? use some common sense. -
Unless you like to keep your weekly mission chain going...
