    Start of playing End of playing I played quite a bit more than I normally would tonight with mix of 90% RGB and CTF. All games with Crisis except 1 with Booster. I did open 7 ultra and 14 regular containers so usage was a bit higher. Supplies Used: 149 batteries 96 RK 1,326 DA 1,792 DD 732 SB ~100 Mines (higher because of container openings) That's 256,600 crystals of full price supplies and I earned 90,538 crystals. I wish I had not checked.

    I have been meaning to see how much I am using in an hour of playing but am a little scared to look. I enjoy using crisis like a psycho without regard for supplies.

    I haven't done any testing but I am pretty confident that scoped shaft damage was reduced.

    I didn't know that. Calculations were from ratings. So my counts of supplies consumed for DA, DD, SB will be low. The fact that my stock of supplies has only decreased slightly over the same period means that supplies from containers and premium still almost cover that level of supply consumption.
  6. The only information in the profile about current equipment is hull, turret, and paint. Unfortunately, there is no info about current drone, hull or turret augments, or modules. Edge recently underwent a major change from legacy (completely developed by Microsoft) to Chromium-based (same core as Chrome and Opera and others). I have current, Chromium-based version here (v89.0.774.57 Official build 64-bit) and it worked for me in that. Perhaps you still have legacy version and it doesn't work there. Not sure.

    Nooooo. You are constantly earning them from containers or premium and given I have almost everything containers can contain, I think I receive much more supplies and crystals than other people. I haven't bought any supplies since Black Friday sale. I think I had DA and DD up to 75k, RK to 55k, and batteries up to 40k at that time. I got Crisis on 12/3 (almost 4 months using it 90% of time) and since that time I have played 101 hours and used: RK DA DD SB Mines Battery ----------- ----------- ----------- ----------- ----------- ----------- 4165 10179 12192 7545 2062 5932 Multiplying those numbers by 3 would give what is needed for me to play 300 hrs/year. I would probably have to buy some batteries within 2 years with below supplies but it would be close. All the rest is enough for 4+ years. At this point there is nothing to do with crystals except buy supplies. About 1/3 of the time that I am using Crisis I am semi-camping and almost exclusively using DD and occasional RK with the other 2/3 being active engagement. When I first started using Crisis I was worried about the supply usage but now I have no compunction about using them like a madman. e.g. swapping DD and DA repeatedly between rail or hammer shots when engaged.

    I have everything maxed and virtually all equipment/skins/augments (except 11 paints, 2 ultra container only skins, and Rail EMP), supplies for 2 years of constant Crisis usage, and 8m crystals. I agree that it would make sense for Tanki to cater to people that are in a similar position because there is likely money in it for them. I still have some fun playing the game on my own, but the thing I enjoy most with the game is the people I play with while on a discord call who have actually become good friends. Have tried pro battles (crappy selection when I play), eSports (tournament times are very difficult for UTC-5), being a helper, doing some game-related development, but it's really just the friends on discord that keep me coming back. @Sylvian I have had a ton of fun the couple times I played in Quirky Events. I would participate more often but 4-7am my time is difficult.
  9. It works in desktop versions of Firefox, Edge, and Opera and should work in Safari. Each browser's UI may be a bit different for adding bookmarks (e.g. in Firefox field is called Location rather than URL) but I just verified it worked in all I tested. I have tested in mobile browsers.

    They did do a Blitz Exotic that was close to MM. I think no Defender and Saboteur drones and no augments you cannot buy for crystals.

    AP Freeze is better than stock freeze if the tank being attacked has 45%+ Freeze protection or DA. It is much better than stock if the tank has Defender or is in a dome or has Freeze protection + DA. It's only worse off if the tank has less than 45% protection or the person has AP immunity.

    Thanks for the article. I agree with @Akame that AP augments are very team oriented. When playing by myself, I'd only use Rico and maybe Smoky, with Rico being a bit map dependent. When playing with a group, I don't think you can do better than Rail for Siege or for defending/midfielding/trailing attackers in cap games, especially with the length of the effect and the ability to hit multiple people. Freeze can also be very effective in a lot of situations but it really needs a teammate to assist with the killing because of the limited gas tank.

    I play a lot of different combos to keep the game fresh. Generally I go into battles with Heat Immunity on and will adjust as needed. 90% of the time I am using Defender The 3 most common of late are Viking + Magnum Harpoon + Defender or Crisis Hornet or Hunter + Vulcan IB + Defender Hornet + Isida Broadband + Defender But I also regularly use Fire - Incendiary Freeze - Shock or AP or Adrenaline Hammer - Adaptive or Slugger Twins - Stable or Heavy Rico - AP or Adrenaline Smoky - AP or AC or Supercumulative Rail - Scout or AP Shaft - Light or Heavy Caps + Crisis I rarely use Thunder, Gauss, or Striker. For Siege, I will use HI or EMP Immunity to start. I am generally using Dictator/Titan Rail AP with Defender. I only play that in a group so we coordinate usually with an AP Rail, EMP Gauss, and something that does good splash damage like Magnum or Thunder. It is quite a bit of torture for the other team.

    I like how there is not a huge difference for the exp/hr between the turrets. That speaks to some balance. I think the imbalance is with turret augments and hopper. Harpoon makes Magnum great again. I don't think any other Magnum alteration allows you to score as well and gives you as much flexibility. The change in gravity from the older version of RGC makes it work much easier with Viking OD as well. It is good enough that I shelled out for it on my low account when there are lots of other places crystals are needed. Some turrets are still effective if someone has 50% against you. Thunder is not one of them. I rarely will start a battle with Thunder protection on and I rarely use thunder since Hornet was nerfed. I think they went together well. I think Freeze is common to use with Hopper to get in and out quickly, though I'm surprised it has more hours than Fire which I think is generally better. Hornet took a huge hit with change to AP and new immunities though I still do use it quite a bit. I tend to use the ODs when I'm dying rather than at full health.

    I have all the turret and hull augments. Nothing irks me more than EMP Gauss. I refuse to use it, and if I face it I will protect against it unless there are significantly greater threats. After that comes AP Rail, then AP Gauss, then AP Smoky and AP Magnum (but user has to be very good). I'll only use AP rail in siege or if I have a friend with a kills mission. The AP augments are not very good for scoring but they can have a game changing impact for the team. I don't have a huge issue with anything else though I do think Vulcan+IB+HI should not be possible. In cap games I am always targeting and watching hoppers. I think hopper with fire/freeze/smoky autocannon/rico plasma torch/EMP gauss/isida are the most effective, especially in pairs or trios. I find that the Defender hoppers are more difficult to deal with than those with Crisis. Crisis is fun to use but I find it difficult and frustrating to attempt to cap with. I tend to use it just for continuous boosted DD.

    Agreed. I don't think any hull should retain OD charge after using OD and dying. I don't understand why this exists. However, whenever I have hornet OD and am close to dying I will use my OD and be at 60%-90% on spawn.

    It's just a way to make a quick assumption about the strength or weakness of a player or team. I use it as a factor to decide what to equip for modules and hull augments. I do generally feel that it is a solid indicator of the difficulty a player will present.

    My rating for smoky augments in descending order: AP then Adrenaline (for attacking)/Autocannon (for midfield/defender) then Incendiary/Supercumulative/Stock then the rest but much of that depends on how you play and game type.
  23. In 16v16, status effects and ODs were unavoidable. I think if you are going to have so many people on a team you need to have more protections, both modules and hull augments. In 8v8, I don't see the need. While I like playing with heavyweight, I rarely do now as almost every battle you will need some hull alteration to survive and thrive. As said above, allowing more is only going to create further unbalance which feels like it is at its peak right now. MM games have gotten so easy since the 16v16 experiment and so many low ranks down to Majors have been getting into legend battles and getting dissected.

    I overall enjoyed the 16v16 experiment, especially once I gave up on capping in CTF and RGB which was too difficult. Loved having other maps in circulation and larger group size. Enjoyed CP, SGE, and TJR more than ever. ASL was very unbalanced but I only ever play that for missions, not by choice. It comes down to Tanki being able to have different team sizes and different length battles for different maps sizes along with keeping all the game modes balanced. I hope they can do it.

    I don't think the server restarted. I was on continuously during restart time and was never kicked off.
