Devs need to do something about the clowns jumping into MM battles and doing nothing to help their team in battle...I'm seeing far too many to be anything other than a bunch of trolls intentionally sabotaging teams for whatever reason.

You might need to equip your new single modules in the garage. As well as any alterations....because I think they were all unequipped during the update of modules and XT skins. Also battle funds have been changed a lot....so if you play well on winning or losing team, you get far more funds. And the difference in fund winnings between winner and loser team is now only about 25%. So it pays to stay in a battle and try your best.

Have tested this. Equipped the Drone and used it for about 30 seconds then went to garage and I could un-equip it....the 5 minute cooldown starts from when you equip the Drone, but you can still unequip it....So if you equip it, use it for 2 minutes then un-equip it, you then have 3 minutes cooldown stopping you from re-equipping it. No idea if that cooldown is for that particular Drone and you can equip another Drone type in that time, I assume so cos if not, that don't make no sense. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'd like a simple tick box option in the Drone section of the Garage that allows me to automatically un-equip Drones at the end of battle(or not). Otherwise I could be hitting continue battle button & be put into the next battle and use a battery at the start without wanting to. There are probably ways to avoid this, but they're not as convenient as a simple tick box.

20 batteries is good for 20 minutes....If you equip the Drone only at decisive times in a battle to gain or hold onto an advantage, they're good for more than 2 battles. Personally I intend to only ever use my Drone for 3 minutes or so a battle, and only if I know it'll help me out in that battle. So even at the rate of 5 batteries gained per container+ chain batteries, this will be enough for me. The ones that constantly have their Drones eating away their batteries even when the Drone is no use to them are making a noob mistake IMO. You seem to think that a Drone is a equipment item that you have to equip that's constantly draining away batteries...it isn't. A Drone is a helper that you call upon at specific moments in battle where their help is most useful. For example, your team holds a 2 or 3 flag lead with 3 minutes left and starts getting overrun at the base, equip a Trooper Drone to try to rescue the situation and hold onto your win = 25% extra crystals for 2 or 3 batteries which you got for free from containers. The key to using Drones effectively seems to be the same as Modules, you have to equip them at the right time. You're experienced enough at this game to know that there is usually a minute or two in a battle that will decide which team wins...equipping a Drone at the right time may increase your chances. Speaking of modules, you have M3 modules in you garage that you haven't used since the module update. They must have cost you at least 41k crystals each and still they gather dust.Yet you say a 20k crystals Drone that you could have used for 3 hours of free battery usage in double funds week is useless. :rolleyes: Excellent post with some good info...Was thinking similar about Assault Drone. Could be very useful but is reliant on kills and dominance. IMO it's a drone that probably needs to be equipped more often in case you happen to find yourself in the perfect scenario to make OP use of the boost....Murphy's law says that as soon as you unequip it you find yourself in that perfect scenario(which is probably spawn-killing a weak enemy) I wouldn't use a Trooper for the whole DM battle. I'd use it for the last 3 minutes to get some extra kills when I'm one of the leading players in battle and only on smaller maps like Tribute or Highland until I get the Drone MU'd to a good level. By using only free batteries the difference in crystals gained from the few extra kills with the Drones help might make the Drone worth having. In team modes I'd use it only at decisive times, working out when to equip and unequip it to make best use of batteries is just about the only skill involved in Drones from what I can see. I see the Drones similar to Modules....fact is some modules will barely ever pay for themselves and are just worth having to maximize your chances of winning in most scenarios. Some of my Modules have paid for themselves by getting me a few extra kills or caps and helped me win, others not so much(yet)....so I'm thinking the same with my Trooper. Once it's up to a good MU level I'll start using it with free batteries so it can pay itself back. And I agree that Batteries are overpriced and should be awarded in daily missions at a similar rate that RK's are. 100cry sounds about right but I guess Tanki will point to the fact that they're a new feature and they might get included in future sales as the reason why they're 300c now. So hopefully they might eventually reduce battery cost to 200c so we can stockpile them on 50% sale days at 100c each....I'd be happy with this. Stating the obvious here....Drones cost 20k crystals to buy and also cost crystals to upgrade, which can be gained by participating in battles. If people want to waste money on batteries that's their business. But it looks to me like the developers are prepared to give some batteries to the freetoplay players to at least make use of Drones if they use them wisely, but more free batteries are needed of course. I'm totally certain that I can make use of a Drone without paying on either this account or my First Lieutenant account.

I think you're about to find out over the coming months how useful they are....15 seconds of all supplies at every respawn sounds pretty good for DM mode to me. The other 2 have their uses. Besides, the Drone update is only a few days old and you already have 3 hours worth of Drone batteries....if you've got all those already from chains and containers, then that's a good thing for free players.

Nothing, it's a pointless waste of time that is being done in the hope of ruining MM for everyone. Saying AFK wasn't very good wording by me anyway. The 2 cheaters I mentioned were moving around the map, but only charging straight into enemy respawn zone and getting killed instantly in a TDM battle. There's only so many times I can put this down as noobs being noobs. When I'm seeing 1 in 4 battles with participants with 0-10+ DL scores with hardly any experience gained, I suspect some kind of sabotage. A player that was put into a map that didn't suit their equipment, then started getting smashed up too often would just leave. Tbh, even if it wasn't sabotage and was a lag issue some were having, it's still something that'll need addressing, cos it's creating a few unbalanced battles in a system that's starting to work a lot better now.

Are you aware that MM is being intentionally sabotaged by the same cheaters that were mults in the battle list system?...they want to ruin MM so they can get back to their old ways of cheating the hell out of the battle list...(to take advantage of x2 funds events and for easy missions etc), or they simply hate MM. I've noticed a fair amount of AFK players in battles that are also chatting away while they're being useless for their team for the whole battle. Also spoke to 2 MM saboteurs in battle saying they're trying to ruin MM by playing useless in battles to make them unbalanced. Until this is fixed, MM is not fully optimized, cos dealing with mults was supposed to be a feature of MM. An autokick system to boot out useless teammates would be nice, but I'm sure there are other ways. Anyway, just a bit of insider info for you....

No thanks....I personally prefer that experience points and hours played has been reset for modules. Makes it easier to see how often we use our new individual single modules within our custom triple module.

Well Tanki gave away loads of Flow paints and seem to give away other stuff available in shop and containers in Crazy Weekends....Makes me wonder if they'll do the same with XT's.

RIP my M2 Mammoth... I ranked up with it and it pretty much was the catalyst to owning all equipment I have now. I think I'll get over losing it tho..

Do drones automatically un-equip at the end of battle. I got one but haven't used it yet and will only be using it if needed in certain situations and modes. No need to waste batteries at the start of battles or in easy battles. Ideally I'd like to be able to equip mine when needed then it un-equips automatically at the end of battle, less hassle for me.

Just did 4 or 5 TDM battles...All very good battles. Kept hitting continue and always started battle with the guys that also hit continue(usually 3 vs 3 or so) then players were added quite quickly to battle. Nice to actually play some more TDM, always avoided it cos it was so easy to mult before. Obviously this is meaningless to those that outright hate the concept, but for me at least its working better, apart from some of the matches the system throws together are odd & the excessive waiting time bug is still there...I assume its a bug cos often I'm getting into battles within 30 seconds now.

Got dumped into this battle yesterday, group invite thing was broken so that's no excuse for this match-up.... Then made simple spreadsheet showing each participants experience, drugs usage and Efficiency Value and Place... The rows down the bottom of the spreadsheet show how much of a disadvantage my team had. We had a disadvantage on every rating you'd expect a Matchmaking system to at least use one of when trying to place players in balanced teams. The difference in experience and drug usage of both teams is pretty big. 6 players in battle with over 2million experience, five of them in enemy team. 4 players in battle that have used less than 20k drugs..Three of them in my team. 8 players in battle that have used more than 40k drugs..Five of them in enemy team. 7.3million experience points difference between teams, enough for 4 and a half legends worth of experience...which translates into a heck of a lot of crystals used to buy far more equipment options for the enemy team, I assume. In summary, matchmaking system is simplistic and needs work. It could have at least swapped two players from each team to make it more balanced once the participants were picked from the queue. Also, the AFK inactives in battles are happening way too often, an autokick system is needed to support MM :rolleyes:.

So if you happened to have a bunch of max-upgraded modules that covered all protection types at 50%, which were all then converted into single modules, giving you max protection in the new system....any other modules that you happened to have that were of less cost you got nothing for. So if you happened to then have a couple of spare 49% modules which were not converted to singles (which obviously cost less than your converted max MU modules)you get nothing. Is this correct?

As long as we all can get enough free batteries through missions and whatever other ways there are to get Batteries to use our Drones for 2 or 3 battles a day, fine! Glad we can hide the Drone too.

Same problem again. I play first battle and go back to lobby, try to join the next battle and I get the perpetual loading bar bug and have to exit client. Makes me wonder if this is what's affecting the AFK players in battles, while they're deciding if they can be bothered to reopen Tanki their Tank is still in battle getting slaughtered.

Log in wait 1 minute 30 seconds that feels like ages get dumped into mismatched battle play junk battle, lose badly with half team inactive try to join new battle perpetual loading bar bug Exit game try again wait 2 minutes to join Rugby battle Junk battle that my team win with ease that lasts 2 minutes Sigh!!.I'm out. I have tested MM thoroughly on my alt account and have come to the conclusion it sucks. Wished it worked better, but unfortunately not. I've given some feedback on the flaws yesterday and others have too. Devs should be fully aware of how useless this update is, they made it. I've a feeling it will be binned soon.

Just done 4 rounds of CP battles on my first Lieutenant account, here's how they went. 1st battle...waited 20 secs to join...Put into losing team with 4 minutes left. Hopeless cause, team got owned with 8 players vs 4. 2nd Battle...waited 2 minutes to join...Put into winning team with 40 seconds left. All points were already captured and enemy were routed. Waste of time. 3rd battle ...1min 40 to join...Joined from start, total mismatch where two highest ranks(M2+) players in the battle on the enemy team, two lowest ranks (M1) were on mine. Highest rank team drugged more as you'd expect when they notice they have the advantage, Total mismatch. Team got owned and struggled to hold any points we captured. 4th battle...Joined after couple of seconds wait...joined at start of battle. Yet another rank mismatch, all four higher rank players in the enemy. My team put up a good fight but lost largely because of a lagger in our team that did nothing for the whole battle and got 1 kill for 13 Deaths. I take it the Devs listened to none of our feedback cos these are the same problems as last time. The only savior of this update is the fund changes,... which I like.

Only thing that appealed to me about Matchmaking was that it was supposed to deal with mults... But I still just finished a battle with a guy in the enemy with 0 Kills 12 Deaths and 0 score, so MM does nothing about this guy that was probably either trolling or lagging. Besides, the fund distribution change is a better anti-mult feature than MM. There's not much benefit from sticking a mult in the enemy as we now seem to get rewarded on our own performance, as opposed to winning and losing. And also the biggest mult problem is always in the higher fund battles....therefore mults in PRO battles on small/medium maps or in non-PRO maps like Highland and Tribute are what needed fixing. But again, the fund distribution update will reduce the incentive to mult high fund non-PRO. As for the execution of this Matchmaking system, I'm not actually sure Tanki have changed anything about it from the test. Mismatched battles and ridiculously long waiting times every now and again is simply not good enough and defeats the whole point of the update. Scrap MM and test this fund distribution idea in pro battles to see what impact it has in high fund battles. If it works then add it, cos I believe it will reduce mults in PRO and should have been done years age...so well done to the dev that thought of that. As far as MM helping with mobile goes...well the battle button and a full battle list as it was previously was perfectly good enough for the job. Always use the battle mode page with the green mode buttons as the default page that the game loads into when starting the game...But non-mobile users simply tick or untick a “load into battle list?” option in the game's settings. Doing so obviously loads us straight into the battle list the next time we play Tanki. Mobile users have easy way to join a battle once game loads, PC users still have battle list, everybody happy, everybody hugs, then goes into battle to kill each-other. Job done!.

Welcome to Tanki recruit..... 2 kills in Legend battle tho... :o Matchmaking is still hit and miss as to whether or not you get a good battle or not....Fund changes are good and were needed.

Let's hope these Drone batteries don't drain from our supply stashes too quick and they're as available to non-buyers as other supplies are currently. Non-buyers or buyers that just don't buy supplies should at least be able to use them for 3 or more battles a day without running out.

Yep...I click Tanki shortcut and a "Adobe AIR" tab with some Russian text appears...Game doesn't load. Same problem with Steam.
