LOL, I never even called them “noob missions”, those are your words. But you just gave a perfect reason why they should be removed from the game. Funny thing is, do you even need “noob” collect missions???..Looking at your profile, NO!!..You have better equipment than what I have on my first Lieutenant account, including Isida which is the best experience mission turret in the game, as proven on your own profile. Gain EXP missions are far better and quicker for you than collect missions, especially when matchmaking starts. Collecting supply boxes in full MM battles will be even more of a boring chore than they are now. The further you rank up the more you have to collect and the bigger chore they'll be. Currently, I've got a collect 10 DD mission on this account, easy to do in a battle with few players, total chore in a full MM battle. Yawn! You'll be dumped in a battle with 9 teammates that want those drops to try to win and you'll be having to share them or take them from people that needed them. And what if you get dumped by MM into smaller maps like Forest, Highland, Poly or Tribute?....where there's not many drops to share among 20 players. Even on bigger maps with a wider spread of drops it comes down to things like luck of respawn location and timing of the drop, remembering that there's other players that might want those drops, as well as enemy long & mid rangers that have a habit of sniping at dropzones. Collect missions suck..Get Rid! They're only difficult if you play normally to try to help your team to win...In fact, the further you rank up the more you have to collect, so they often become the mission you complete last of the three when focusing on winning battles. As you say, they'll take even longer to do when MM starts, how is that good? The fastest way to complete them is to just run between dropzones, picking up drops you might already have activated from teammates that needed them. They are a boring, lame chore. Get rid.

It's irrelevant that Tanki removed an advantage of playing daily...it's more beneficial to them to not disadvantage their casual players, which is surely a big potential base of future buyers once they get into the game. Daily players gain a container a week eventually and get those chain rewards faster, which suits the daily missioners main aim of expanding their garage asap. That is why I do missions and I'm sure others have the same idea. IMO, Tanki's unlikely to be bothered about having an extra bunch of OP non-buyers competing against their buyers, even the ones exploiting the lazy way to get OP gear that you highlight. I'd say it could even be beneficial to Tanki in terms of selling shop items to buyers trying to surpass these stronger and sometimes OP non-buyers. In other words, they have to pay more to surpass established players if they don't have the patience to be F2P. It would only be a concern for Tanki if people didn't bother buying and instead tried the lazy daily mission exploit. It's highly unlikely that a buyer would try such a long-winded way of getting OP when they can just buy the gear and drugs to try to dominate instantly if they have cash to spend. So it's non-buyers that will use the exploit, thus it costs Tanki nothing. Will the chain change discourage buyers from buying? ...., if you're gonna buy it makes sense to buy kits from the shop on sales days and use premium earned crystals to MU your gear on MU sales days with speedups. Once a buyer gets their gear mostly upgraded and runs out of crystals, do you think they'll resist buying to finish off the upgrade?.doubt it if they have the cash...Tanki dishing out a nice stash of crystals between every sale is incentive to buy a kit at every sale. The fact that there's a big variety of M1, 2, 3 level kits and protections to buy & MU means that Tanki can constantly rinse buyer wallets and crystal stashes on sales days. About this chain system exploit being a disincentive to play. Making all your accounts OP for their rank and thus barely playing the game is a pretty dull way to play the exploit, there is a more entertaining way,.Which is to have multiple accounts, one of which you use solely to pass the time by playing normally, while you're making your other accounts OP for their rank....Anyway, by doing this, you're still playing the game and are an online user for whatever amount of time you have available to play, which suits Tanki fine. I'm actually doing this myself, so thanks for the heads up;)) P.S....You'd have to actually fight in battles with the accounts you're trying to make OP if the pointless collect missions were removed, but the exploit is still there even if collect missions were removed, just less OP....why Tanki persists with these missions is a mystery to me. Get rid.

@LittleWillie is spot on here. non-PRO and missions is surely a match for PRO grinder maps in terms of crystal earnings, even if there's a difference it's negligible. It takes more time to earn those crystals in PRO and you can lose PRO team battles and get peanut rewards. Whereas, in non-PRO you can achieve most mission types and get nice crystal mission rewards even if you lose, often in the space of 2x 10 minute battles. At a low estimate just to show how missions are not “peanuts”, say we get an average 1 crystal mission every day with 1k reward average. That's 365 missions a year = 365k crystals a year from missions. ((The rewards from missions are way higher average than that cos legends get rewards ranging from +/-800 to 4k+ cry missions..)) Right now I have 3 crystal missions open..2 missions with 1470 cry reward & 1 mission with 1050 cry reward...So that's nearly 4k in one day. My other lower rank account has had decent cry missions for the last 2 days too. Then consider mission chains crystals once at week 10 rewards...8400 a week for 52 weeks = 437k cry. So 802,000 crystals from missions and chains (at a very low estimate)...You could get the last MU's and speed-ups for a few of M4's with that...JK;).......seriously though, 6 M3 modules in a 50% sale. Not to mention supplies & 208 containers intake from missions and chains. Overall, rewards now are very generous from Tanki....way more generous than when I was a noob ranking up. However, there is truth in the argument that some PRO grind battles are highly lucrative if you mult win constantly. A. What insult? B. It's a forum.... So what's the problem with discussion among forumers?

Okay, as mentioned by many here this 10 minute battle change doesn't seem to suit CTF type battles. Capture first against outnumbered team and camp for the win seems to be the general pattern of battles. Making a comeback is far more difficult, especially if you join late in a struggling team. Pretty odd move from the devs, cos when players get a sniff of a comeback they tend to up their drugging rate. No hope of a comeback = why bother wasting drugs? Personally, I'd prefer either.... 15 minutes default battle time. However the battle auto-finishes at the 10 minute mark if it's a mismatch in terms of flags, points etc.etc. Or, 10 minutes default battle time, with 5 minutes added if the battle is still close. Of course, MM may fix these problems, however it won't paper over the general feeling that 15 minutes of a good battle was perfectly fine. It is a good battle duration and there must be a reason why Tanki chose to have it in the game for so long. I'm all for ending junk mismatch battles at 10 minutes tho.

I think we should have a sale day to celebrate the fact we have a lot of sales. Call it "We <3 sales Days day".
-
This is pure speculation.....but we're all probably about to have 6 weeks or so of lower intake of containers from weekly chains. In a few weeks, those that don't save their containers will have hardly any to take advantage any update that introduces some new items that might only be found in containers. Seems to be a good time to introduce XT's I reckon cos some will want to buy containers if they saved none for XT update. Also, if War in Tanki 2 has big container rewards again, is it better to release XT skins before or after the containers get awarded?

If ranking too fast compared to the amount of crystals you gain is the problem then constantly completing all daily missions is the best way to keep a high crystal to exp ratio. Even at a rate of one 600 crystal mission every 2 days you're getting near 110k crystals a year. And the rate of crystal missions is surely higher than that if you actually keep clearing all missions to make way for new ones. At legend rank I get at least a 1k crystal mission a day on average, some days I get 6k+ from 2 or 3 of the missions...but even at 1k a day average it obviously comes to 365k a year from daily cry missions. The incentive is there if I want those bonuses. It's been that way since I started this game. I've always had a shortage of RK's cos I refuse to pay real cash for drug kits. And I agree there seems to be a reduction in RK's from missions (since the big drug kit got moved to the shop IMO ). But I guess Tanki would argue that the option to take advantage of supplies sales is there should we wish to play more non-PRO when we're short of RK's, with no-supplies battles allowing us to still earn cry without having to join drugwars. The 6 week nerf is a pain but in the long term this will end up as a buff to our weekly rewards. I assume by the end of this year we'll have gained more crystals & supplies from weekly rewards with the new chain system, compared to what we would have got from the current system, unless we're unlucky with the extra container we get a week. How lucky we are pretty much dictates how quickly this new chain system turns into a buff.
-
The incentive to play daily is the missions themselves. The rewards are a pretty decent chunk of a players' annual crystal and/or supply gain. If you don't bother completing missions on a given day you effectively give up that days' mission rewards. Keep doing that and it will delay in a big way whatever equipment buying plans you have. Especially if you miss out on the sales days that happen to offer the best discount on whatever you wanted to buy, when you don't have enough crystals cos you didn't bother with missions. Per annum, daily missions must surely be worth a few 100k crystals and a few k in supplies, depending on your rank of course. Always worth completing them if you can IMO.
-
So compared to what we would have got from existing chain system we lose out until we reach week 10....after that we start to make back what we lost out on with an extra weekly container. And in the long term we gain (compared to the current system). Is this correct?
-
Mission chain update will be good for casual players....and daily players eventually. The new system will be easier for newbies cos they can now ease themselves into the game at their own pace.
-
Doesn't make any sense to decrease mission chain rewards. Matchmaking will be in the game soon and it's not a very popular idea for a few reasons. Therefore it makes more sense to give extra incentive to join more Matchmaking battles. However, Tanki may see it different so I guess we'll find out tomorrow.

Even if you can't see it happening in battles, it's pretty obvious there's all sorts of hacking happening just by looking at top 100 Gold box caught ratings this week. All you have to do is look at the amount of golds some of them have caught in their entire time on Tanki....and then you can see that a big percentage of those career golds have been caught in the space of the last few days.
-
The whole meteorite gold drop thing.... Perhaps mixing up different types of drops would suit all types of hulls. Meteorites suit fast hulls. doesn't suit heavies. Old style 30 second parachute golds suited more heavies and dictators. Doesn't suit light hulls. 10 second parachute suited dictators and fast hulls. Can suit heavies in the right place. Perhaps make it so all 3 types of drop can happen randomly, so players are better off playing with their best equipment and hoping the next drop happens to suit their equipment. People switching equipment for the 30 second drop will surely be less of an issue cos it'll be impossible to predict what type of gold drop is. I'm no expert on golds though, got little interest in them...so those that actually care may think different. Great fun smashing up loads of light hulls in DM battles though.

Road To Legend???....only thing I can think of, but might be wrong.
-
Does the MU sale apply to XT equipment?
-
Does the MU sale apply to XT equipment?...couldn't see anything about it on the OP.

About matchmaking.....it could be a decent enough update. But only if it's implemented at the same time as free custom battle creation and Tanki gets rid of the more boring missions like the collect drops missions, that will be a chore that practically encourages multing with MM. It's entirely possible that free custom battles will finally give the variety that's desperately needed in no-supplies battles, cos currently the map choices get so boring and many high rank no-supplies battles are littered with cheaters. In my experience, the only no-supplies battles relatively free from likelihood of cheats are XpBp CTF battles, where players generally play fair. Cheater mult-users seem to have less of an impact on big map drugs or no-drug battles with 8+ genuine participants on each team that want to win the battle. So if free custom battles gives us this, Great!! Not being able to choose a map to complete missions is junk of course, but being given only exp and cry gain missions would lessen the time we have to play in MM battles if we don't like the system. However, if Tanki actually play it smart, MM could be good if it finally gives us balanced battles, rather than having to trawl through a list of mismatches to find a decent battle, as it currently is.

Agreed, these events do nothing for those that don't give a damn about golds. Much prefer War in Tanki and double fund type events that give triers something to fight for. I blew out all team battles for the weekend, they were a farce for the reasons mentioned on this topic. Had a field day in DM tho. Got premium from containers and went around smashing up diggers in junk barely-upgraded Hornets, Wasps and Dictators, it was a Duck-shoot. Although I suspect there'll be less DM battles during gold events when Juggernaut mode comes, if it works how I think it does. Loads of diggers jumping in and out of Juggernaut battles hoping to be the guy that gets control of the OP mega-tank from battle start, so they can claim all the golds. This is pure speculation, but is a factor on whether or not Gold events with huge prizes are even feasible in the future.
-
You've got nothing to disprove my theory on why Tanki don't want such highly valuable Gold Box events in PRO, so you do a lame personal attack on how many friends I have on a online game...ROFL. And BTW, I have a right to say what I want within the rules of the forum thanks. And yes I join plenty of PRO battles and enjoy them. If you knew what you were talking about you'd look at my profile before judging how I play this game and see that I also join XpBp battles, unless for some inexplicable reason I join other battles with Zero module equipped. Do you think it's Okay to allow a minority to easily exploit an event that could give multiple high value Crystal and Premium awards for catching x5 Gold drops for a whole 48 hours?...potentially earning several hundreds of thousands of crystals for doing very little, when most honest players wouldn't get anywhere near that.
-
Eh??...I was explaining why this type of event doesn't apply in PRO, because it's so easy to abuse, especially when there's such big rewards from these golds...please read what people write before giving opinion on it...Thanks!
-
Probably the first Tanki event where players with all types of equipment (not just damn Dictator diggers) have a good chance of catching Gold Boxes that potentially have 50k crystals and Premium in them. Nice!! The April Fools sales last year were around the same 30% mark. If you were so looking forward to a MU sale then presumably you had a nice pile of Crystals to spend in the sales. If you have a nice pile of Crystals then presumably you have nice enough equipment to win battle crystals anyway...Besides, there will be other Sales. Complaints about this event not applying in PRO are naive...What's stopping a clan or group of friends creating a PRO battle & filling it exclusively with clanners & mates. Then claiming all the lovely highly-valuable golds for themselves with no contest???. Jeez!! you could even create a 2v2 battle, fill it with alt accounts or servile friends and claim all the GB's for your main account. Winning months of Premium and loads of crystals for doing nothing but smash up a few alts or friends....so easy to abuse.
