They can't bring the old MM system back as far as choosing the map you wanted to play. There currently aren't enough players to fill all the maps that were available. My personal favorite was skyscrapers, but I guess that one didn't make the cut. Personally, I'd rather see a weekend where they bring back a bunch of the older maps for us to play in rather than the completely tired, worn out, and thoroughly hacked 'Event Modes (of Boredom)'. I leave many, many matches before finding an evenly matched map as well. It's normal now. I look at the balance of the teams when I first enter a match. If it's uneven, I leave. Sucks that we have to do that, but they really don't care to fix it. I think it depends on what the definition of 'broken' is to each person here. You're both correct. For me, 'broken' means 'unfair'. And the current MM system is vastly unfair (broken). Back in the old days, I probably wouldn't have joined a 10v5 battle either. but I'd be more likely to join the match knowing they all had similar gear score strengths. I leave 10v10 battles right now where 80% of the tanks on the enemy have a gear score of 4-6k higher than me

My personal favorite is the assault game where no one brings flags and the other team has k/d ratios of 5+ Love. It. So. Much.

I have an idea. How about a game where everyone on both teams has a similar gear score. That might be a really interesting mode to try.

I know that is the trend for online games (and pretty much online anything--remember myspace...?) to go up and then gradually decline and die. However, think of the broader aspect of gaming: There are still hardcore people who play monopoly. Yes, monopoly. And that was invented in 1935 and it's rules have never ever, ever, changed. They didn't introduce new properties. They didn't introduce new magic rules or anything like that. And people STILL buy it and play it often. Point is, the people who play 'the next best thing' games always leave. Those people get easily tired of the 'floaty tanks', questionable updates, nerfs and the game itself in general. And those are the kinds of people are who tanki is currently marketing their game for (with all the kooky floaty tanks and nerfy updates). The players they SHOULD be marketing their game for are the hardcore ones who never leave. In other words... the monopoly players.

Again. Fraud is fraud. Doesn't matter if it's a ruble or ten thousand rubles because it's the thought behind it that makes it fraud. And if the person who did it thinks what he did was acceptable, then who knows what else they think is acceptable to do to the paying customers. It doesn't matter if it's just a game to you. Except that unbalanced matchmaking system undermines the entire process when a new player gets continually one-shotted from the other side of the arena by someone with a gear score 6k higher than them (and who already has that unavailable new equipment). New players obviously lose interest fast. As evidenced by the number of players tanki has lost.

However much money they can make from anything is how they determine the choices they make here.

This isn't even the 300th time they've done this.
