    He said I.. simply can not believe, that this meant D/L or K/D or whatever this ratio is called. This would make no sense at all. It is no usefull measure. furthermore it will not work: I think they thought of something different.. and the word "ratio battles" is more like "rating battles".

    it's not so much about "colorless", it's more about "cordless". Mobile phones are widely available since around year 2000. Every one older then 21 would be able to remember those times.

    as I read you comment I thought "hey cool!". Then I started thinking :) just by curiosity: - if this is done, how am I supposed to find a battle for my rank manually? - the top loaded servers (like RU1..3 and EN2) are for high rankers. They.. willl.. most likely not use the battle button so often. A unified lobby would truely help. ps: or will those battle-button-battles be closed for random access in the future? It is not clear from todays vlog, if the matchmaking (leads to closed battles) will be combined with the battle button, or if this is a separate thing.

    Actually you have been told, what the communty needs to know, in order to accept that their garages are not transfered ;) I can't tell what the community dislikes more the tensions caused by drugs or the fact that they change things the commnity loves, while they mess up while doing so. Don't get me wrong, most of the things here have truely a good intention. Even the shifts of features to monybased features are mild and bearable (paints, kits available anytime, premium-clans, gold boxes,... ok.. drugs kits maybe not). And honestly the battle button idea is great for newcomers, as well the 2min. brake, a matchmaking system is cool, and so on.. But it's always the way how they do it that hits the nerve of the players (IMHO) They fix a lot of things that are not truely broken.. while other stuff is not touched (we could truely use a kick system that has clever fraudprotection mechanisms.. kick 2.0.. you know it for sure. I thought they split the developer groups? Hm. But anyways.. they talk.. which is actually a good thing. But I have not understood, why tanki X is so slowpaced. Do we just see M0 fight all the time? Or does it just look so slow as the tanks are so large?

    I don't know. That's a cruicial point, hm? If normal random battles via the battle button will all be "rated / match made" battles, then say goodbye to you friends, you non-pro-pass owners.. @Cedrik - could you clerify that?

    ++ But they took out the fun of Wasp gameplay very efficiently. My grandma is more agile (turnin acceleration, full-left to full-right swing..) that this Wasp M3.

    @why they build the same game over: lack of ideas + future prooveness Tanki Online simply works. It's a concept of [Tanks fighting each other, arnking up, unlocking equipment, geining temporary advantage by money]. No matter how goodit was or how good it gets.. it works since 6 years and that.. prooves some point: it works. But the technology platform (adobe flash) is limited and dying out, so they have to shift it to a new platform in order to implment features they can not have here. Most likely those are features that make it look "more even" to modern games. As far as I understand the VLOGS -> unfortunately they missed that both games adress different user groups. Could mean: a lot of players care more for fun and low PC requirements then for aweseom graphics :P. But they did not craft a low-requirement game for casual and regular players, they overdid it. So now.. they simply have to keep both and market and align it to different kind of players.

    I don't know how they implement their matchmaking logic. I once drafted one and simulated it; it worked nice. But it did not rate skill, I rated in-battle-efficiency of players (Hazel truely dared to say that they will rate "skill".. do you remember? They will tear him apart for that :p :p) Of course the system is not perfect.. but it should be good enough to work. The only thing that those systems are prone for, is.. hmm.. if all campers get less score then the attackers, then after two weeks all attackers are rated high and will fight each other, while on the lower rating end of that rank range the campers will have some sit-ins :) :) :) But you _can_ do truely something about it. You just have to look into it and invest brains. If players here talk about mults, they often don't mean low performing tankers (those are called noobs :p). Mults are players that either actively or passively sabotae their own team (active: twins can run your teams flagrunner towards a wall and keep him there, until the enemy comes around and finishes him off. Hammer can flip light hulls over. ... / passive: they just sit there like a sitting duck and move all 2 mintes to not get kicked). Both are a real pain in high ranked battles where crystal earning is focus (poly CP, noise 20 flags, ...)
  12. if you made the table in Excel, just mark the cells, press CTRL+C, move over to paint and press CTLR+V I think this works for wide tables too. Or.. you just slim down the font size :p Or you consider, that if you post tooooooo many detils, noone will read into it :p

    His promise is for the future to come, and not yet implmented. The battle button we have today is not the matchmaking system. Matchmaking battles will come later. In those (up to come) matchmaking battles you will not be able to invite friends and you will not see those battles in the lobby (and I hope the consider that at the moment you can access any battle via spreading the link from the browser through skype :P :P :P) What I like to know is if matchmaking will have a seperate button or if the battle button will do matchmaking Because if the normal battle-button will create matchmaking battles always, then you will never ever play with your friends again, except you buy a Friends-Pass, aehhm, Pro-Pass.

    my bad, I have missed a part of your post [the word "battle"]. well my proposal was that friends can team up before they enter a battle, and then click the button to enter. They would be send either into a new battle(if a certain amount of randoms has build up in the queue, so that they enter like 4friends-vs-4 randoms to start off). this helps vs mults, as noone can enter the battle by other means, but still you can play with your friends. or they join a loosing team. Same as above.. but this seems to opens doors for Raiding teams. If we take into account, that the battle button sends you only to battles that are "pretty new", it will not happen very often that they steal a lot of fund. But that's only a likelyhood, no protection.. This would also work quite well together with the matchmaking system. The only thing that I dislike > is that the only means vs Mults that tanki plans to do, works _only_ for those random match-making battles. Thats.. well.. crap. There are better ways to handlie mults vs the whole tanki universe, and not only in those matchmaking battles.

    Cedric, do you maybe have an answer on this one? While talking about the clan system, Hazel was once asked if matchmaking is for free. He answered something like "depends on which part of it you want to use" (citation according to my memory, may be unprecise, core message valid). In the meanwhile about 4 weeks have passed by. Do you have any details on that in the meanwhile?

    please read it again. The friends start in this battle all together (and they were ment to be on one team). The friendssystem is not the source of the problem. Even without the friend-system mults can share battle links via skype. Prohibiting friends, is like cutting off one leg, because the toe is broken. There are more efficient ways to handle it - like Kick2.0 would be.

    Lets assume there are 1000 tankers of your rankrange are on that server active fighting (70 battles visible by rankrange x 14 players per battle = ~1000 players of your rank range). Those 1000 tankers are in battles of aprox 15 minutes. Each time a battle ends, half of the tankers leave the battle and search for another one. So about 1000 : 2 = 500 tankers search new battles in the course of 15 minutes; which comes down to >> 33 tankers per minute As in the moment 10% of all tankers use the battle button in order to _stay_ there, you come down to >> 3,3 tankers per minute _stay_ in battle button battles To fill up a battle with 6 players takes in average 2 minutes - in theory and in average. Especially players of your rank tend to chose the battles manually.. and so it takes longer. It will become faster, once the free pro passes have run out.

    most people in his rank, that plan ahead wise, don't. I would also own only Viking Isida in M3. I was forced to get Rail/Wasp M3 early in a kit, because of the rebalance. My M2's could not compete with M3 XP/BPs any more. Originally I planned to get my BP M3 during NewYear Sale, for 50% off, without the need to buy a paint that I never wear, and a protection module that is not soooooooo usefull to me.

    no, I didn't. I just used parts of their background to communicate my number of the day. I very carefully deleted the Tanki Logo, to assure that noone could believe, it is an official tanki statement. :)

    ^ please create something like this for the battle button. Playing with friends is one of the BEST parts in this game. I bet Tanki is aware of the economical impact too (maybe spend a little bit to keep up with friends). I am happy to see a matchmaking system Please do not consider matchmaking as best solution to cope with mults. Players love to choose their battles - that's clearly learned by the last days (battle creation only via pro pass => leads to => 50% played "fake Pro" battles with all _default features_ active; this means they played "normal" battles with map selection. Other means (like kick2.0; or check the ideas section..) are way better suited to solve multing in all spheres of the game, and not only in the matchmaking part of it. by the way, please tell us, which parts of the matchmaking are going to cost money.

    Thanks for the sale, that you announced a few days ago. If you would have made clear, that it was only for shop items right from the start, you would spare yourself a lot of busted expectaions. Please think of some other way to cope with mults; becuase playing with friends is one of THE most best features your game has. If you rip of one funny part to fix a problem (that can be fixed better by other means) then it's not helpful.
