Sorry, I disagree. When a player has to wait months between upgrading his game position that is too long. Long-term interst in a game is retained by giving players a sense of achievement. In tanki you have to save up for a month or three in order to affors seeing that development in your game postion. Playing tanki does not give the sense of advancement. It gives the sense of spinning one's wheels for a very long time between advancements. I am sorry, but that sort game experience is not going to be very competitive in the modern online gaming world.

My guess is thaat is what they will do. A MU sale after a general garage sale seems like a natural sequence. Plus they are still in the post-update-schmooze-the-players mode.

I liked the map in the sense that it was new terrain. :) In all honesty the map was fine. It was a bit to "Bresty" but hey... snipers gotta have their maps too. It got redundant but how could it now with the 3,000 exp point missions? Therewere times you got stuck with some poor teammates but again with so many players and such long missions... that's gonna happen too.

The reason for the frequent sales and discounts is this: The normal prices are far too high in terms of playing hours required. When you see that a store puts a certain item "on sale" all the time then the sale price becomes the everyday price. That's what we have in Tanki. Old-time players have just been steeped in this preposterous pricing system for so long they just accept it as normal. But as a new player I can tell you the current situation is a great way to ensure new players do not play long-term.

The mishap with the Day 3 Halloween missions was just another example of why I say Tanki is tone-deaf to the experiences of actual players. Especially new players. But credit where credit is due. This time at least they acted to address player dissatisfaction. May this sort of thing continue. If it does one day I will once again be willing to offer financial support.

perhaps we see only one out of every four burning effect ticks .. but the other three still take effect. Aftrerburn is definitly down after that patch, but OTOH it still does register kills. I don't feel that it's useless, rather mush less useful.

I think Freeze is like Isida in that both should be considered to be primarilty team game turrets. The Freeze effect is akin to "crowd control" functions in other games. CC functions are generally at their best in team situtions. Or looked at from the flip soide, it is very hard to find the sweet spot for the freezing effect in a DM situation. Too much means the frozen tanks cant even struggle back - and players HATE that. Too little means the freeze effect rarely is deciseive compared to simple damage output. (Hope that makes sense.) Anyway, I think what t anki is best at is balancing the various turrets and hulls. What that need to focus on is fixing the Crystal payouts, the proponderance of Poly CP-type grinding, and othe raspects of the economic/progression portion.

You cannot purchase kits any time you want. As i have mentioned, I cannot buy a m2 smoky or an m2 viking at captain rank ... unlees I buy the northener kit. You're smarter than this.

It's not xenophobia either. Xenophobia is the fear of outsiders/foreigners. I neither fear nor dislike Russians. The few I've met over the years seemed just like everyone else. Words that could apply to my post might include: rude, brusque, acerbic, impolite, provocative. But the post was neither racist nor xenophobic. Look. Y'all have just been playing this game for so long you see these policies like "rotation" as normal. Of COURSE kits rotate that's just how it works. But as a new player I see this stuff with fresh eyes and I am telling you this stuff boggles the mind. Let me ask you this: See any other new players posting here? Anyone other new blood who is willing to spend some time in the forum? All I see are old-timers beside me. Of course there aren't many new players. Tanki has erected very high barriers the frustrate new players right out of the game.

Russian is not a race, it is a nationality. And different nations have different "histories". But since I assume you are American I don't blame you for not knowing that. Non-American students are still taught that subject.

Oh I used Rail quite a bit when I first started. I wasn't too bad with it. There's a lot to like about it. I just did not like the slow-turning turret. Anyway the problem isn't the turret it is Cry. I am a new player and I can afford exactly one turret and hull per account. None of them use Rail. I doubt they will keep the game running long enough for me to ever reach Marshal much less Gizmo so I don't see me ever having the funds to toss away on a turret I don't use. But I sicerely appreciuate your effrt to help out a fellow gamer. :)

95% or more of all new players will never reach Marshal much less Legend. The economy is set by 5-year Gizmos so the 2-month newbie cannot find the Cr to advance. Besides ... there's no reason to want to reach Legend.

Yeah and those fast food joints know how to market their product. Customers LIKE going to those businesses and they return to them. And those successful businesses do not say "Nope, we are not selling 67% of our selection at any given time - unless of course you pay double.". Well ... Most of Tanki's player base is very young. Young people are trusting and gullible. I am neither.

No I have not been to Russia. It should be obvious I am used to the western notion of customer service which is "earn trust" as opposed to the Russian philosophy which is "Screw the Customer"

Thanks for answering! OK, I understand your OP now. The parameters can remove drugs MUs and the like. I thought there was a hint there that the Cr payout in BP (or whatever) were suoer-high compared to regular battles.

I should add. If the Stinger kit were available during halloween I would have had to have bought the special introductory offer of 20,000 Cry in order to buy it at the lower on-sale price. And I would have done so. So this notion that Tanki LOSES INCOME due to this policy is not mere supposition. I KNOW they have lost sales - they have lost income from me. I believe in supporting game companies that EARN my support. That does not include companies that tell me "We're having a special benefit for our players --- just not for you, LittleWillie." SMH at the stupidity. SMH at the fact our "liasion" seems unable to answer any questions.
