Was this for me? I know I'm poor. Likely many/most others are. Can't speak for higher ranks who already have a better garage. -
This part I can agree on. It did need a nerf - new M3 freeze was doing 708 dmg per second PLUS bringing enemies to a complete standstill. Not being able to fight back is the most frustrating thing there is. Ever been in a battle where enemy is spawning killing you in your base? Similar feeling to what Freeze was doing. But, as with Isida (80% reduction on self-heal) they might have gone too far on Freeze nerf.

Except it is not clear they were going away since we were given those same missions after the server re-set. So anyone that partially completed the mission gained experience but then will lose out on the bonus crystals from completing the mission. We wasted time on a mission that could not be completed. For those of us somewhat poor on crystals, gaining experience without crystals from completing said mission is not good. -
Thank goodness. Slowing tanks so much that they had no chance of fighting back was ridiculous.

What maps / game-modes you like most? Smallish maps / DM - hammer seems to outperform smoky. Hammer does a LOT of damage quickly - especially with DD. Medium to larger maps or team-work - smoky is more in it's element. Smoky is subject to kill-steals from others because it takes a few shots to deal the killing blow.

Can't believe they give Thunder 50% weak damage but Smoky what... 10%? The discrepancy is way to big.

1 vs 1 at M3 Smoky and Thunder are very competitive. In multiple DM Smoky seems at a disadvantage. It takes an non-drugging smoky ~ 5 shots to kill a Viking. It seems that many other high damage turrets (Rail, Thunder, Hammer) jump in and kill-steal before smoky can deal the killing blow. Weapons that deal a huge amount of damage in 1 or 2 shots seem to have advantage in DM.

Bought the Guardian Kit on the paint-sale day. Wonder if I broke even as the paint was most expensive part.

It's not just the % of the sale. It's the fact none of the Kits are available when u need them. No sale - many available over 2-4 weeks. Sale arrives - garage empty. Bet they are all in the "Shop" so buyers can take advantage of the sales...

Hopefully it means that for next few ranks I won't be battling Gismos with full M4 garage, all modules and infinite supplies. They will have moved "up" beyond my reach.

Can't watch V-Log at moment. Does it explain how the new ranks affect what levels can fight in battles? Can a general be in a battle with legend 10 (or whatever)?

10 ranks difference? Goofy. Remember how this convo started though (nice defelction by the way)... "Thunder don't stand a chance against smoky. One thunder shot = at least 3 smoky shots. Smoky M4 can 2 shot my M1 viking and reloads as fast as the old twins." Still trying to figure out how the above proves Thunder doesn't stand a chance against smoky? Once you get to M3 they are very close. At that point only real difference is the user.

I suppose it's not impossible but... lowest level a battle can be for a Gismo is Brigadier or close to that... 8 ranks of range? So you're suggesting a Brigadier brings M1 equipment to a battle? Why?

The comparison part? or the battling part? In DM - if the tanker wants a challenge go for it. Any other battle I'd call sabatage.

I agree with the 1 and even sometimes 2 level differences. someone entering a DM with M1 vs M4 is on a death-wish and should expect to die - often. Maybe it's for a "challenge"? Gotta be easier ways to earn experience otherwise.

But... Dan was comparing an M1 with an M4 and making a conclusion about performance. It's like comparing apples and bananas. It's not unusual to find M0 vs M1 or M1 vs M2 etc. But if you take an M1 and go against an M4 you deserve to be rekt.

If you play peek-a-boo tactics, with equal skilled tankers, the one delivering higher dmg has the advantage. They will hide until their slower reload is ready. = same # of shots. But more dmg per shot. Like rail only faster. And I think they nerfed (a bit) Smoky's impact while increasing Thunders impact. However... there have been complaints Thunder does not actually do the damage the WIKI says. So that makes a difference.

It's funny - cuz on paper - with 2 vikings - Thunder should beat smoky after the rebalance. It delivers the killing blow before smoky does - unless smoky gets really lucky and has 3-4 criticals out of 5. I plan on upgrading it - but - Buying the Guardian kit (on the paint sale day) made me broke. Less than 10k crystals now.

Seems to happen A LOT. Even when only ~ 3,000 players one evening. Wonder how many tankers/battles each server can manage (well).. I think all the bells & whistles they've added have made it worse - including the dmg display counts. That's a lot of extra info floating around.

Are you seeing them activate the supplies? If a tanker knows the map well and they are lucky, they can acquire DD/DA/SB all from supply drops shortly after re-spawning. But I have never seen a tanker activate all 3 from keyboard shortly after re-spawning.
