  1. So do you have to wait for brigadier now for M3 Kits? Or are there any available earlier? I was lucky to get Medic at half-way to Maj Gen. - before the "re-balance" happened.
  2. I would not MU the M2 any more than 10-15 steps. And only on MU sales. Start saving for M3 kits and protection modules.

    Biggest Druggers

This was my main point - so we are in agreement in part, at least. If it seems I'm over-matched due to rank I tend to leave. Depends on the mission. My problem is that I tend to play in evenings when not as many gamers are online (lucky to have 8k+). So not many battles to choose from. If I have to complete a mission on certain map or game mode - then even less choice. My medic kit still earns a lot of experience if that is all I need. Often place in upper quadrant of the team and keeping the team members alive tends to help the team do better.

    Biggest Druggers

Harder to find suitable battles that are not populated with Gizmos. Setting up new battles can be frustrating. As Tom Petty says "The waiting is the hardest part". At least when you see Marshal or Commander etc you have an idea what you will be facing. But Generalissimo - the variety of power at that point is so wide. On a tangent, why is the rank-range so wide? In most cases Gizmos battling Colonels, etc is a complete mismatch. Especially considering the M3s are now unlocked at even higher rank.

What to buy? Which is better?

Those are very popular in Polygon and Noise. Another short-range turret I'm seeing a lot of is Hammer. Still a lot of Thunder M3s as well - did not get nerfed as badly as many turrets did in last update.

Feelings & moments we've all had in Tanki Online

Even worse... you re-appear right in front of the enemy that just killed you. he's behind you. With supplies still activated...

New balance changes and other features

That's the biggest jump in power you will see. +51% damage across the board for stock - better than any other M2 upgrade. Range and re-load also improved considerably when compared to other M2s. Enjoy!

    Biggest Druggers

That will be disappointing if true. Right now the "Gizmos" I face could be 4 ranks higher (certainly difficult, but not impossible) or equivalent of 10+ ranks with all the upgrades and modules and supplies acquired through years of gaming. Not so much fun.

    Biggest Druggers

can't wait for the Legendary ranks to take effect. Should remove the long-time Gizmos (ones with most crystals to spend on drugs) from my battle ranges.

Smoky at M1 seems extra potent because it has an early unlock. Once you meet more Twins M1 and Thunder M1 it won't seem quite so OP. They have larger jumps in parameters due to later unlock and are even more powerful. The biggest jump for smoky is from M1 to M2. Unfortunately it has a much later unlock - one of the last M2s to unlock. You will need to look for a Kit like Atlas or Northerner.

    Let's Discuss Missions!

Three supply missions for avg of 8 supplies. Switch one and get........ 7 supplies. Brutal.

    Let's Discuss Vulcan!

^^ Seems odd - especially since Vesuvius kit with Viking M2 is (was?) available at 1st lieutenant.
  13. Players are paid individually from the battle fund yes. However, what you get depends on which side you are on - winning or losing. The Losing side gets at most 40% of the fund. That is for a close battle. In a slaughter you get much less than that. As a player on losing side with 2nd most points in the battle you can easily get less crystals than a middling player on the winner. Does not matter how well you did individually - in a battle that is not close you barely get anything at all. Lots of XP - but few crystals. Gives no incentive for a decent player to join the losing side.

Compared to what happened with most other turrets Thunder basically got buffed - it should perform better now. You could upgrade a few more times but as I_already_won mentions going above 40 gets really expensive. A short-ranged turret with medium hull (if u don't already have) would be good choice. JackHammer? Maestro?

    Let's Discuss Viking!

Unfortunately it slides around a lot more than it used to. Feels like a drunken sow at times.
  16. May not be equipment prices that are problem. Could be the acquisition of crystals. There are now so many unbalanced battles in all team modes that who in their right mind would join the losing side. Well - there are take-overs by druggers... But your average player would be nuts to join the losing side because - while they may get some experience they will get a piddly amount of crystals. The weekly missions help some. But I'm lucky to get one crystal mission in 3. Often none.

    Complaint Book

I have a few times suggested the following modifications to supplies... Armor - no longer double. Instead = +50% Damage - no longer double. Instead = +50% Speed - no change - stay at +40% Mines - Lower damage a bit OR increase cool-down Repair Kit - Increase cool-down and cut the number found in kits by half. 100 supply kit would come with 50 repair kits. The above would still give tankers willing to invest in the game some advantage. But not so much advantage that the battles are no longer competitive.

New balance changes and other features

Silly - what? We all have different opinions. Yours is no more correct than mine. I think the turret needed a nerf. Never said it needed to be as badly as they just did. Actually if you read above I indicated they may have gone to far. Just like they went too far with Isida.

    Let's Discuss Smoky!

The M4A1 (with 75mm gun) could not. The M4A3E8 with 76mm gun could at 500m or less.

    Let's Discuss Smoky!

I agree - Tanki is using basic ballistics. Like a Sherman vs Tiger I from WW2. At 500m Sherman could penetrate frontal armor. At 1000m - try to close the gap quickly!

What is the point in xt equipment

Why do people like to buy cars that cost $250,000 or more when a $100,000 car has everything you would want?

New balance changes and other features

Superhov comes to mind. Except for those occasions though, a short-range turret has a chance to approach the long-range tank on many maps. Maps like Noise and Poygon, etc all turrets are up the creek. Even other short range turrets like Isida (cough) and firebird were getting made into ice-sculptures. It really was that bad.
  24. The nerf on Isida must have just thrilled you. I think the important part of my message was ignored in favor of a trivial bit at the end. My point was I not happy I spent time on a mission (assigned to me after the server re-set) that I could not possibly complete due to Tanki's error. So I gained experience but few crystals. I hate that as I try to maximize my crystal-vs-experience ratio.

    Let's Discuss Smoky!

Sure - I agree. The only one you hurt by using lower equipment is yourself. The conversation started when another tanker said Smoky is way better than Thunder because... an M4 smoky destroyed his M1 viking in 1-2 shots. It got off the rails when discussing who can fight with what. My original retort was on the comparison/performances. I thought that comparison was without merit because A) it compared smoky to Viking and B) The M-levels were so far apart. It's like saying a Mazda RX-8 is way better than a Chevy Cruz. No kidding! How about comparing an RX-8 to a Corvette. Better comparison.
