One thing I will say that is good about the "Re-balance" is the handling of increments from M3 to "M4". Before the update the weapons were all over the map in terms of how much better it got through all the MUs from M3 to M4. Thunder received +26% max dmg Smoky received +18% max dmg Hammer received +24% max dmg Ricco received +13% max dmg Now they are all very close at +18% or +19%. And the other parameters also improve by very comparable amounts. Due in part to the baseline set at M3 with same unlock rank now. But it is nice to see that consistency.

So... can we hold you responsible for the Isida nerf?

Does Rail still have 100% penetrative power? You'd think a few of those could do a lot of damage as the "party" approaches. Front one or two would be fine but back couple would get snuffed in 1 or 2 volleys.

LOL - I had it for Rail / Shaft vs Hornet / Viking to see what paint to choose and much I could upgrade it. Hated getting one-shotted.

They get more crystals from you... Because of the rotations there's a good chance you wont get kit on sale thus forcing you to spend 2x crystals. Plus... if you have the crystals but kit not available, you might buy a different one for now (impulse shopping). Then spend even more crystals later on getting the kit you originally wanted. Earlier in the year before a sale Medic was in the garage. It was 2-3 weeks away from sale, had rank and crystals. But timer showed Medic kit disappearing just as sale was going to start. I bit the bullet and bought the kit as I did not want to wait for it to come back later. Guess what - they switched the rotation and Medic came back just as sale started. D'oh! -
It takes a bit of work but setting up the spreadsheet crossing your hulls health vs % protection against weapons will allow you to work out how many shots it takes that weapon to kill you for each increment of MU. Base is 40% (current) and have a column for each increase of 1%. Then u can decide if upgrading further has a good ROI = increasing number of shots needed to kill you. In some cases spending enough on MUs to get (say 1-5 %) more protection will make a diff = do it. Other cases you might need MUs for 6-10% more protection to reduce it by one more shot. Worth it? maybe. Other cases no matter how much u MU it the module will not make a difference in number of shots it takes to kill you.

All turrets are OP on DD. Thunder M4 on DD can one-shot a light hull. And do it again in < 3 seconds. I'm sure that is fun for light hulls. Shafts don't even need drugs for that. One-hit-kill no drugs. They went too far in nerfing Isida. A reduction in self-heal - sure. An 80% reduction in self-heal while increasing price and raising rank-requirement by 4 ranks is a joke.
-
You mean the light hulls in 2 shots? I guess with DD? ;)

It's one of those "I hate in tanki threads" where you find yourself one of the few team members jumping into the mosh-pit to Capture a Point. Rest of your team is camping and shooting. Getting kills and not dying. You need more rushers than campers or you'll lose.

I wasn't suggesting it was unworkable. I'm not a shaft player, but I would imagine the farther a shaft is from the targets - the better, correct? Polygon does not lend itself to that as well as maps like Superhov, Kunger, Brest, Monte-Carlo or Highways.
-
You are not alone. I just upgraded my smoky to M3 so at least I have another option. My isida is getting put in the shop for a while - coming out for the odd mission where I only need experience - and I can find a large battle. Otherwise I will rely on my smoky to help me scratch up the funds for MUs and for new protection modules.
-
That's part of my issue - I'm not a heavy supply user and never purchase supplies with real money. I can try to match the 'druggers' around me but it does not take long for my supply to run low. My argument from the whole beginning was that Isida's power came from the double bonus it gets from DD - ends up healing itself at double the rate and is hard to kill. Without drugs it is weaker than the other turrets in combat. So it becomes harder to complete any mission that relies solely on combat.
-
I agree Polygon is not the best map for a shaft. However, a shaft user does not have to do CP in Polygon. At least there's the possibility of finding a battle with appropriate CP. There's no chance of me finding a DM battle where I can use my healing ability.
-
Maybe I misunderstood - I certainly don't expect a full M4 garage quickly - at all. That part I agree with. Having a couple sets of M3 I can begin to upgrade is my goal for now. About the battles you mention... (most higher than my level I assume)... lots of drugging? Without the drugs I find Isida dying faster than it can kill. It has to close the distance and does less damage than the other short-range turrets.
-
Why horrible in CP? How does your turret prevent you from capturing points? I find it's more dependent on the hull...
-
Have used my M3 viking for quite some time - and it performs well. After the "update" you have what I used to have. Performance-wise you should do fine.

I don't think the point is getting "missions of our choice". It's the unfairness of isida vs the current mission-types. Everyone is advocating Isida's primary goal is healer. But at least two mission types (DM, Destroy Enemies) don't apply at all to Isida's "primary" ability. Name one other turret that missions don't take into account that turret's primary ability. CP - all turrets have fair ability to complete CF - all turrets have fair ability to complete TDM - all turrets have fair ability to complete Exp on ABC Map - all turrets have fair ability to complete DM - does not take into account healing Kill enemies - does not take into account healing "...and after a few years"? What? I should not expect to improve until a few years have gone by? Really?
-
Where you have it in MUs at moment?
-
1) You don't speak for all isida users. 2) Well I want self-healing back and I don't "want nothing better than ... dominating". I'm also not opposed to tweaks (as all turrets have had). Nerfing on the other hand... And you don't speak for the mods either... "Time to close out this topic". L-O-L
-
That's like - just your opinion, man.
-
I'm not a huge fan of supplies but... I can endorse this announcement.
-
Heads Up Display. The screen as it displays info to you while in battle.
-
Ok - so you are using the free supplies that everyone has access to. Nothing wrong with that - even for non-druggers - as you will run out eventually. You can just put them on ignore then, and not worry about them.
-
Most isida players did not buy it to be 'dominating' on DMs. I think they will be satisfied with competitive. Currently they are not vs turrets of similar nature (short-range). With rank-requirement going up, price going up and self-healing being nerfed, I doubt many tankers would invest crystals in the next M-level of the turret.
-
You did this... once? Firebirds are short-range turrets and do well in DMs on certain maps. Not so well on Kungur or any of the larger maps of course. Isidas are also short-range turrets and should be competitive with Firebird and Freeze on similar maps. Fact is they are not competitive. At M3 Firebird/Freeze have 35% greater damage output. The 10% self-healing from isida does not make up for that.
