    Let's Discuss Railgun!

An M3 Railgun with Shell Destabilisation is able to do up to 4,807 damage with double damage enabled. My Mammoth had 3,200 HP + 15% Railgun protection (I didn't have double armour activated). Without factoring in the Railgun protection, that Railgun reached 66% of its damage's protential. From 1 damage to 2403 damage, it achieved 1,600 (without factoring Railgun protection). That's a whole 803 damage more he could have done to me. So yeah, he had plenty of room to one-shot me still. That's the problem with some alterations right there. They have no integrity. They outperform their Stock counterparts. You wouldn't see a Stock Railgun coming first in Legend battles as often as you'd see a Large Calibre Rounds or Shell Destabilisation Railgun. Do you get the same scores when you use Reinforced Aiming Transmission and Large Calibre Rounds? No, you'd get more score using Large Calibre Rounds on average. And Railgun's reload speed decreased which means the reload on that alteration decreased as well. Electromagnetic Accelerator "Scout" Railguns at M4 reloads a shot in about 1 second. You have a Railgun shooting every two seconds. That's not good. And those take down a medium hull faster on average, not to mention its retained impact force which shouldn't be. And people wonder why Railgun protection is so common.

    Basically this (@ 0:55):

    Let's Discuss Railgun!

And this is exactly what was happening after its first buff when it was implemented. It felt as if its damage distribution was negatively skewed. Picture for reference: Which basically means that it hits above the average damage way too often than it should be and is not hitting below the average damage as often as it should be. Which is why i saw Destabilisation Railguns dominating back then. You could have your medium hull with full health and DA and still get one-shotted. That hasn't stopped but the 20% maximum damage nerf helped. Buit it seems like they may have tweeked it again, idk. I was placed in another battle with the guy but this time, it was in Highland so he was bound to die at some point. Didn't feel good that him killing me was the first kill in the battle, and it was a one-shot (I have Mammoth M2.2 with 15% Railgun protection). Yeah, an M3 Railgun with Destabilisation has more than enough room to one-shot me if the damage distribution is negatively skewed. He got up to 9 kills until he died. But then a Stock Railgun came first. I didn't expect that but it's not like Stock Railgun is unusable. Both of them took top spots.
  4. Hmm, they worded it pretty ambiguously then. Thanks for the clarification. Although it took 2 minutes and 5 seconds to charge from 0 - 100% when it was first implemented and now takes 2 minutes and 25 seconds to do that yet it feels like a faster recharge. Something doesn't seem right.
  5. The problem I had with that is that players who bought kits very early will have an direct advantage with their Overdrive over the other lower tier Wasps, and even more so if they upgraded it. And I'm sure that they would do it in a way to reflect Wasp's statistics changes so it would look more like: M0: 5 seconds M1: 4.5 seconds M2: 3.4 seconds M3: 3 seconds

    Let's Discuss Railgun!

Shell Destabilisation Railgun + Viking camped by the Overdrive supply box marker and got a flawless 1st place in DM. I tried to go after him 4 times and all of them ended up as a fail. I had my Overdrive and was going to get him and then suddenly, my Mammoth slipped off of the ramp; I don't even know how. Guy got lucky with Shell Destabilisation. It seems as if it's still powerful. He put a smiley face right as I had exited.

    Let's Discuss Matchmaking

I know it's possible, that's why I said he had to have been in a group. if you queued by yourself, there is a high chance you wouldn't be there as a Captain.

    Let's Discuss Matchmaking

This Captain player had to be in a group because look at the ranks of the other players in this battle:
  9. So no buff in the Overdrive recharge speed was given to Mammoth then? Alright, that explains everything.

    Let's Discuss Firebird!

I've died multiple times to their afterburn, only because some Striker blasted away 90% of my HP right after I used my Overdrive and the afterburn finished me off when I was trying to kill players.

    Ideas for Missions!

I can believe that since I was a WO5 and got placed with a Major-General in a DM battle. And that's only a 9-rank bracket. I've seen up to 12-rank brackets. And if you play good enough and are lucky, you can top the leaderboard.

Tanki Picture of the Day - Have any?

The power of Mortar Magnum. You'd be surprised how often players actually run into mines planted on walls.
  13. The projectile speed change was a decrease so that's a nerf.

    Your Opinion about tanki

Gauss isn't able to one-shot medium hulls when they're both on equal footing; meaning that they both have no supplies activated or the Gauss has double damage enabled and the hull has double armour enabled (which ultimately cancels each other out). Gauss' maximum sniping damage on all modifications isn't able to one-shot a medium hull on equal footing. It can only do that if the hull is unprotected (no double armour or Owl protection module) and the Gauss has double damage enabled. And with the change it received, it's possible for the Gauss to not be able to one-shot the medium hull even with the specifications listed in the sentence before this one. Using double armour is getting an immediate 50% protection module against any turret not using double damage. When that turret uses double damage, to them, you are back to normal 0% protection because double armour and double damage cancel each other out. The Gausses you went up against were either using the Booster Drone (I've seen 3 Gausses with Booster Drones already), they were using Hornet's Overdrive while sniping you, or you just didn't have double armour enabled and they one-shotted you because they had double damage themselves. And if it were only able to one-shot light hulls with double damage, then it isn't fit to be a sniper with such laughable damage. And that's assuming that the hull isn't wearing protection. if it were wearing protection, then Gauss would cripple and change to another turret when they see many protection modules against it.

    Your Opinion about tanki

Gauss is not able to kill a medium hull with a sniper shot when they're on equal footing. So if the Gauss has double damage and you're using a medium hull, use double armour and you'll survive with about 45% of your health, 35% if you're unlucky.

    Your Opinion about tanki

But...but...if players are frustrated at Gausses killing them, they'd invest real money or crystals into the cure (Owl) or maybe invest real money or crystals into the disease (Gauss). Generally, I've realised that in the Test Server, when given the right tools, most players pick the disease over the cure.

    Let's Discuss Isida!

Ehhhh...a range buff would make it unique since Isida can only attack one enemy at a time while Firebird and Freeze can attack multiple enemies at once. About the cone angle, I agree. with all these impact turrets, aiming without Broadband Emitters (especially if you're using a high hull like Hunter against a Viking while driving) isn't that good. I do meet Isida + Vikings that keep their aim on their target even when they should be getting thrown all over the place by the Twins, Ricochets and Railguns constantly hitting them. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I tried Support Nanobots in in two battles to see if it's worth playing and I gave up. The first battle, I made 37 score and the second battle, I made 62. I would get killed over and over by these Thunders, Railguns and Twins trying to get to my teammates because it makes no sense attacking enemies when I'm not gonna be able to take off 20% of their HP before I die. When my allies are scattered, I'm almost useless in terms of contributing to the team. I even use the Supplier Drone for more safety but that still doesn't work out. Maybe I'll be put in favourable battles later but for now, I'll keep to Magnum. I think I'll reserve Support Nanobots Isida for the blue team in Assault...and even there, I still get a lot of score in that situation with Magnum + Hornet. It's easier to get score killing players than healing them with Support Nanobots. The most you can really do is get assists by touching them for one tick and going back to healing but if the enemy doesn't die within a certain time frame, then you're not going to get the assist.

    Let's Discuss Mammoth!

The dome gives 85% protection, not 75%.
  20. I get targeted by surprisingly accurate Railguns there and then there are the Shafts that see me as an immediate threat. I don't survive long.
  21. All it does is make the enemies unable to act with their Overdrive enabled since they're stunned. You can zap and Overdriven Viking and it wouldn't disable the Overdrive but it would stun the Viking which you can call "blocking".

    Let's Discuss Shaft!

Hmmmmm, I think I know what's going on here. I've been experiencing something like this for weeks now but it is for a particular reason. That happens when my hull is like this on an edge: You can't see it but I achieved the rocking thing in that position. Sometimes, it's less intense while others were more intense than that one. It would continuously rock back and forth vertically and it happens when I have many enemies to kill for the benefit of my team's survival. I usually miss but I still hit some players. Is this what you're talking about?

Tanki Picture of the Day - Have any?

It's not that visible but I finally caught a cake gold! Came in clutch with a triple kill from a Gauss sniper shot and then that Dictator died from a Firebird's afterburn right before touching it, leaving me with 1 HP to take it.

    What am I missing?

Brigadier , Major General , Lieutenant General . I love Hornet's drifting. If an enemy makes me turn a full 100 degrees due to impact force, I'll just start to accelerate forward (because I usually drive backwards with my hulls) and turn to be 180 again. It's a great tactic when I want to make a getaway while keeping as much traction as possible. And the Overdrive makes it a great asset to a team. I do wish it was M4 though. Me having 200 HP less than other Hornets really shows itself when going up against those strong turret -alteration combos.

    What am I missing?

I thought only Isida and Thunder were unlocked at Brigadier?
