Jumped on a bit after many many months off. The game feels very similar which is encouraging for a returning player. not sure what tesla is about...hate not having protection vs it ??? and how do I open fourth protection slot -
I read about a Shaft nerf. Has that functionally changed the turret a lot?

Ive found that CP mode is very objective driven. Ctf and rugby and assault are tough as it is almost suicide to cap unless accompanied by a large crowd. With 8v8 those large maps were quite empty. -
I used to use slugger and hcac together but since they changed things Ive seen slugger used a few times. Can someone explain why they use it? Adding range to hammer is nice but is that the main reason?

The only thing is that Drones are in all maps not just Berlin. -
I do think that 32 players is a bit much, HOWEVER, the more I play this the more I am getting used to and loving the big maps and more ppl. You might move to 12v12 or something but please keep those bigger maps. So great that even the older unused maps are finding love now

Sorry Im more referring the the post complaining about hitting with shaft. I tried gauss today and it is annoying when ppl are in the way. I do kinda think it is good practice to aim for players who are away from the scrum instead of those right in the middle

While I dont like the "your armor is dedtroyed" thing, I definitely think hornets new Od is much better and balanced than it used to be

Altho i dont play xpbp any more I love that theyre supporting it. They should support xpbp 100% as a viable format since it is a classic part of Tanki

Weird. Ive been running shaft wasp almost exclusively lately, mostly using it like a freeze wasp combo but having zero trouble contributing to the battle. If teammates are getting in front of you, move! If youre chilling in the back of the base of course ppl will be in your way. Move forward or around your team

A good way to test balance when things are so different from each other is to see what ppl are using. Do most ppl use one hull or several hulls over others? Perhaps it should be pulled back a bit. Are some turrets underused? Maybe increase them a bit. I say "a bit" but we unfortunately know devs like to make huge changed like when they took freeze and made its damage insanely high before super nerfing it after Make small changes and see how it works.

I dont mind hovering hulls but I dont like that they keep complicating the game. There is something really nice about mindlessly driving a tank around shooting but now you have to consider drones, losing your armor, having supplies deactivated, etc -

This is a good analysis. I disagree with a lot of it, but thats just my preference. What I do like about it is the suggestions for more maps. I do think most maps can work for all turrets with some exceptions...Iran for example is a nightmare unless youre spamming fire. I do agree tho that there are so many amazing maps and adding them into the mix is great. Some of these maps have nostalgic feel to them since they stopped being used long before I started playing. If magnum was banned I'd love seeing noise added since it seems to have once been popular

Some dont like Berlin, but one thing I love about it is how battle take place in different areas at different times. Perhaps at one point you have a heave firefight in the big courtyard across the bridge, or another time there is a fight to take and hold the bridge, or perhaps a third time, a raid sneaks around a ambushes all the campers in the back. This can only happen due to map size and player number.

He is absolutely right tho. I tend to run wasp almost exclusively these days so my bomb is useless unless I can get up close. I just make sure I'm never/rarely indirect line of fire and instead use back roads to close the distance. If you are playing fire/freeze, use your speed to outflank the enemy and ambush them in their backfield. A fully drugged fire among a bunch of campers with armor that has expired can wreck the campers

Yes, me too. There could be some tweaks like fewer ppl in mid-small maps and longer games overall, but it certainly is making the game feel more like it did in the old days

So apparently Barda, which isnt a large map at all is on the list. Just played an 0-5 blowout game that lasted maybe 3 mins
