Twins is very powerful on its own. That impact force really messes me up and I can't have shoot them for crud. People regularly use Stable Plasma which increases that impact force by 10% for each bullet. The damage on each ball is high enough and it shoots every 0.35 seconds at least. The % splash damage retained is 90% for more than half of its range. That's pretty impressive but everyone uses Stable Plasma anyways. There are many protections against it. It's common, easy-to-use and high-rewarding if they enemy doesn't have protection against you. I don't think it should get a buff to be honest. Twins with Viking's Overdrive already shoots so many bullets. You are right @Nicola_M about having to find another enemy when the first one is destroyed. If that enemy was behind the person destroyed, you'd have to wait for that tank to dematerialise and then it would impact the player. Perhaps it would gain more kills if it were a Stock Twins and not a Stable Plasma Twins. Alterations have a big impact on Viking's Overdrive.

I don't like this. I guess they're forcing us to play in team battles. At least with this we may see an increase in teamwork in these team battles.

Tweaks to Overdrives, Turrets, and Drones
Kill_the_Propaganda2 replied to theFiringHand in News Archive
When Hornets pop their Overdrives and slap us, they do it one by one. By the time the 2nd or 3rd ally dies, the first ally to die would respawn already. The Vikings take all of the players out right before their Overdrive ends (usually using a Railgun or Thunder). -

Viking* I'll admit that I feel sorry for the melee-ranged turrets when they pop an Overdrive against me. It honestly feels as if it's a minimal damage boost they get. Firebird use to kill me in one or two ticks but not it takes about 4-6 ticks. Railguns still do a lot of damage, especially with the Electromagnetic Accelerator "Scout" alteration. I've been seeing so many of those these days and they are almost always paired with Viking. Thunders still do a lot of damage and to multiple enemies as well and I see less teamwipes from them than Railgun. I see a good bit with Hammer and Ricochet, not really much with Twins (they usually get about 3 kills before the Overdrive finishes). I went up against one using Vulcan and I was able to get away pretty quickly so he/she practically wasted that Overdrive. And for Shaft, an M1 Shaft (with probably minimal upgrades) needed 4 shots to kill my M1 Mammoth that had 2,888 health. -

My teams still gets teamwiped from Viking's OD. It's usually by a Thunder or a Railgun. -
I played against a Sergeant-Major who had 4,900 GS yesterday. That guy had more GS at Sergeant-Major than you have now at Colonel with your current setup.

And people keep disregarding this mentality.

I'm talking about the official announcement.

And the in-game news section still shows the information about the update. So yeah, he could have checked there. It still says "Heavy Capacitors" on both of the Shaft alteration changes. I had to go to the Russian Forum to see what alteration was actually changed that day. I'm pretty sure "a burst of fire" should imply that it is rapidly firing shots which the only Shaft alteration that does that is Rapid-Fire Mode. Still, I guess it was just an error in translation.

How did you determine this? -
Man, I shouldn't be mad about this but I wasn't expecting this to be happening in the low ranks or anywhere that would give your team a strategical advantage. When the Overdrives were being tested, I would use Shock Freeze and Wasp, freeze the enemy after two seconds then plant the bomb and run away. I would do this for medium and heavy hulls but mostly heavy hulls. Today, this particular situation (sans the Shock Freeze alteration) happened to me three times. One of them was against the player Dictators. He froze me and instead of using his bomb where many of my teammates were, he used it on me where I had less than 30% of my health left. It really sucks I can't combat Wasp's Bomb with Mammoth's overdrive. I just came out of an Aleksandrovsk Assault battle where my team had 5 Wasps and the enemy had 3 and bombs were just going off all over blue's base. It's a good thing I was on the red team in that battle.

There is currently an alteration that has the specific effects you are suggesting. The name of it is called "Nanomass Reactor". The alteration increases your energy consumption for attacking and healing by 50% but if you destroy an enemy when you attack, your ammo bar will be restored completely. If you're suggesting the idea of the Isida giving his/her allies ammo, then I do not think that will be implemented into the game.

Yesterday, I saw this in the chat which looked similar to how the signatures looked years ago. I was able to find a screenshot from March 2017 showing another signature. I think that one belonged to @rommeltanki.

Yes, and I accounted for that. Which is why I went to the Test Server and observed M4 Viking vs M4 Hunter and even that showed to be a great speed difference higher than 0.5 m/s. If my calculations are correct, then a Viking should be one drop box zone ahead of Hunter after ten seconds (or 1 of those drop box zones and a half after ten seconds if they both are using Speed Boost). It doesn't seem like that because it looks like they gain 3 drop box zones in 5 seconds. -
You and Sarim beat me to it. I was gonna say "S N E A K 1 0 0".

Even with just an (at least) 0.5 m speed difference, Vikings seems to outpace me way faster than just 0.5 meters a second when I'm chasing them. If they're both using speed boost, then M4 Viking should be 0.7 m/s faster than Hunter. This means that (assuming they both have the same acceleration at the start of the race) Viking should overtake Hunter by 0.7m every second. In reality, it seems more like 3-5 meters per second. It basically feels like I'm chasing a Hornet instead of a Viking. Of course, I account for me using an M3.2 Hunter against Legends with M4 Viking so that is somewhat understandable. The distance the enemy Vikings gain, even in the Test Server, against a Hunter does not seem to reflect the true speed...at least to my calculations that is. -
Time to discuss a trend in the MM system for me. Cologne: I don't like this map on any of my accounts. While I don't like it, it is sometimes tolerable (Unlike Massacre). What I noticed is that I'm getting this map every other game (1 in 2-3 battles) and it's irritating. Whether on the same node or different mode, I'm getting this map too frequently for my liking. There was a time where I got it 3 times in a row and I wanted to leave when it dropped me in that map on the third time but I had a Score 2,000 points mission and points anywhere I could get it would matter and be desirable. I feel very frustrated when I see I get that map as the perceived atmosphere of the map is "cramped and dull". If this were to happen with a map like Desert, I would feel much better as it is a map I love to play in but I would get fed up of playing the same map over and over eventually. Sadly, it's happening with a map that I don't like.

Yes, there is an alteration for that. It has similar mechanics to Railgun's version of it. I've been using it and I prefer that as I'm actually able to damage enemies that are strafing me. The vertical auto-aim decrease is heavy because I can be up on a Viking with My mammoth and my bullets are shooting right above the Viking's turret since it the angle is more than 8.4 degrees - I can be at point blank range against a Viking and still miss all of my bullets.

This is a bit weird. I bought the Harvester Kit on my WO1 account two days ago. I went to the kits section in the garage and saw that the Harvester Kit is still there. It wasn't there after when I bought it and I don't remember seeing it there yesterday. For a bit more clarity, I equipped everything that the Harvester Kit contained.

Why though? Tanki clearly wants it to be on all hulls and not just heavy hulls. With that change, it should be viable on Wasp as well...right? A nerf to the turret (overheating damage) will make it viable on lighter hulls or as the logic seems to flow.
