It's more accurate to say: 'How long does it take for a non buyer to equal a buyer.' Because if a buyer wants the best of everything, he buys it--leaving the non-buyer to hope he gets the same equipment in a container or special mission or whatever. The Paris to Dakkar rally is won by Peugeots (buyers) and not by people walking on foot (non-buyers).

Look guys. The game is specifically designed to make you spend money. Specifically designed that way. There are blocks and restrictions, and nerfs and buffs and changes to the game so that free players are discouraged to continue playing for free. Specifically designed that way. Whatever grind your uncle's mechanic's hair-dresser told you about #winning, or that 'thing' he got in a container once, it is not the norm. Specifically designed that way. If you think that freebies can compete with buyers over the long haul, you are literally ignoring every data point in this forum that indicates the exact opposite. Specifically designed that way. If you think that freebies could get all the 'things' that a buyer does--just by grinding a little longer or getting a little more lucky with containers, there wouldn't be a need to ever spend money on this game. Specifically designed that way.

no. they are not. I leave about 5-ish games before I get one game that is marginally balanced. Here was a gem of a 'balanced' match I just left. But I had to share it's complete idiocy. 6 minutes left in the game. Gear Score differential: 14.2k

It isn't only Jug where camping tends to be the norm. This one devolved very early into a campers deathmatch. Nobody cared to bring a flag. Do you know this guy, Hazel? He seems to think he makes millions and has a yacht and everything.

This is the normal crap I get from the UCs: Out of 15, 4 were paints.

So what you're saying is my team (34k GS) is actually evenly matched with their team (52k GS) because two of my team's tanks have augments that are hard to obtain...? So... I'm correct. That IS a special kind of logic... And just so I'm following the thread rules and the librarian doesn't delete my post, here is my image of the day
-
Definitely not 'fixed'.
-
Day 14 trillion of being flipped over by dead tanks. Yay.
-
I was agreeing with you. I used your answer to suggest that the points allocation should be greatly adjusted (in jug) to make it beneficial to participate in the mission and not just sit back and camp. Attacking the jug directly was always a suicide mission to begin with, but having it explode and kill your tank as well is just a silly update. Not even an upgrade imo. This feels like the gaming equivalent of the horseshoe crab evolution. edit: And if you take into account the severely mismatched gear scores of enemy tanks in the arena, there literally is no reason to attempt to track down the jug. It's a waste of time, effort, supplies, and anything else they want us to spend money on.
-
Whatever you DO get for killing the jug, it isn't worth it while campers camp and don't die for it. Remember, the other side has campers too. Just waiting for your melee tank to come a little closer. The number of times you die prior to even getting close the the jug is massive compared to the 'reward' of death for the 'greater good'. Sorry, dude. You will never ever convince me that melee turrets are worth it in jug and that campers don't have the best strategy there.
-
Not really. Just the developers way of making you use more supplies when you respawn.
-
The flag doesn't blow up and kill you when you take it, though.
-
When the Juggernaut explodes upon its death and kills most tanks in its vicinity, what possible reason does a short range tank like firebird (for example) have to participate in the mission--when it most certainly means certain death when he has to get close to the juggernaut to do damage?
-
Apparently, they never stated 'dollars', just 'making millions'. It could have been referring to making millions of... -bad decisions -lira -people annoyed Either way, this is a business, and they have no obligation to you to make anything but more 'millions' any way they can.
-
I stand by every word I say. If anyone else takes offense to what I say, that's on them. For I feel the same way as you: ?
-
Again. You missed the point. I didn't, actually. I called it what it was. Stealing is taking something that isn't yours. There is nothing else in the definition of 'steal' regarding the stealer's reputation. And I'm thoroughly finished discussing my choice of words (and everyone else's interpretations thereof) any further. I'm sure everyone will agree that we are done with this.

Is the bot AI different depending on what team you are on?
-
Semantics. And 'claim' suggests an ambiguity of opinion without proof. Would you believe that floating tanks are not new? There was a fps tank game (a long time ago) called tanarus. They had floating tanks as well. So even the idea of floating tanks isn't new either. Doesn't matter either way. I'm not even criticizing tanki for it. If it makes the game more balanced, fair, and fun, then I am in favor of them stealing every idea they can. Literally steal it all. L.A. riots level of stealing. They aren't actually even concerns. As I've said before, if it makes the game more fair, fun and balanced, steal everything you can from every other game out there. Guys, look. I'm not concerned about the idea stealing. I've had to defend my choice of wording for literally WAY too long. I'm more concerned about censorship and (to a lesser degree) the devs running out of ideas. Y'all have to change your thinking if you believe me using the word 'steal' is the actual issue here.
-
I mean... it's what they did. What else would you call it? Did they contact the originators and ask for permission to use it? No. (Probably not). Stealing. There isn't really a grey area except when you use a special kind of logic that only exists in tanki. Does it matter to me if they contacted them? No. Still stealing. Do I feel any different that they stole it? No. Still stealing. Does anyone else care that they stole it? No. Still stealing. Do the originators care that tanki is using it? Probably not. Still stealing. If I take your car without asking... what do you call it? If I take your song and sing it word for word and make money off it... what do you call it? If I take anything that anyone else has the rights to and make it my own... what do you call it? Of course they do. I don't need to acknowledge every innovation stolen from every game in the history of the universe. It's still stealing--no matter who does it. Do I care? No. Do you? No. Not sure why we have to delete messages to cover it up because literally everyone knows what is going on here, lol!! I mean, tanki is all about stealing. You steal kills, steal flags, steal the ball, steal victory... What is the problem? No doubt. Weird how your insults were still there. And mine wasn't though...

Enemy tank runs into me. Goes through me. Two tanks occupying the same space. My tank lifts up off the ground and flips. Yay. Wonderful mechanics.
-
That's what happens when you run out of ideas. You steal someone elses. Deleting this comment, mr. glorified librarian, doesn't make it untrue.
-
Only if it is perceived that way by the reader. If it makes you feel better, replace 'steal' with 'borrow' in my post and continue on.
-
people annoyed

I don't think I said it was a problem. I just said that it happens. Any negativity in my post is purely on the reader. Not me.

My time lines might overlap a bit, but... You could buy the turrets/hulls for 1k, not waste a container's contents with a turret/hull you'll never use. There weren't 10 mini-upgrade levels you had to buy to increase your tank 1 unit. Normal containers had 3k crystals, then weekly had 5k (maybe even 10k at one point). The rewards were greater. Ultra containers didn't exist. Stars didn't exist. There were no augments. There were no drones. There were no overdrives. Drugs you could buy at a decent price when they were introduced--and they had '100 of each' in a set you could buy at the shop. A gold box was something to actually compete for and hackers hacked for. Medium range turrets were medium range only and couldn't reach you from the other side of the map. There were more players playing so you actually HAD team work in matches along with communication from your team (sometimes). One-shot deaths were rare They didn't take away things you had purchased in any updates. You could choose the map you wanted to play and use the turret/hull you were most skilled at using. And the arenas were evenly matched so if you were actually a player with skill, you advanced quickly.
