  1. I'm not debating it will be better at shorter ranges. But I used it for longer ranges - quite effectively. Going forward... not so much. For Vulcan what does this mean? Turret rotation slowdown when firing has been weakened from 40-25% to 40-30%; the "slowdown has been weakened"... yet the numbers increased.
  2. At longer distances? Yes it is. The faster firing rate will not even come close to making up for cutting weak damage in half. I was using it on Magistral last night and it just tickles enemies from distance. If the Special Event actually makes it to Lvl14 (will be surprised if it does) Auto-cannon will become totally useless. As will stock Rail which relies on Critical a LOT too.
  3. EMP is way, way better. Have used both and for me it's not close. But it seems everyone is skirting the biggest nerf. Maybe many of you don't care for large maps. I do. You will see smoky's effectiveness drop off a lot on those maps. Actually... might as well go back to auto-cannon then... since the crits dont suffer damage reduction over range...
  4. Cryo is meh - have used it and it's not all that effective. You might slow a tank down and then one of your team-mates gets the 15 score for the kill. With these changes they are basically saying.. use status effects augments. Smoky will be quite meh with anything that can be purchased with crystals. And it will no longer be effective at long range. The weak damage being cut in half will hurt the most. I might as well glue my EMP augment to smoky cuz that's pretty much all I'll use on it.
  5. I don't understand why they did this. They nerf smoky so it's not nearly as good at long distance. Then they give a sniper turret damage and range similar to smoky. Makes no sense.
  6. You do realize the weak damage is cut in half right? And the range at which this weaker damage kicks in is closer too. So for a 14% buff to reload the min damage range took a 29% hit and the weak damage took a 50% hit. You think that's "juicing it up"? Guess you don't play on any of the large maps... Highways, Berlin, Osa, skylark...
  7. With all the range nerfs looks like they want everyone to use ... RAIL - big surprise. Or Gauss since the range nerfs don't affect it's most effective mode...
  8. Are the level prizes awarded once the level has been reached? Or all at the end on the 22nd?
  9. Yeesh - killed smoky. The small reload buff in no way makes up for the decreased ranges and the significant weak damage nerf. Guess they want ppl to use status effects - which - are not available for crystals.

  11. So... unless it gets to lvl 14 then it really doesn't matter, as lvl 2 gives me my 4th slot...
  12. Lvl 2, 6 and 10 give additional protection module slot. That's 3. They need to be acquired separately for each hull in your garage? If we actually paid 5k tk in the shop - that would get you extra slot for... one hull only?

    I guess there are some ppl who play a lot more than you - hence they need to "top up" on supplies regularly. And they'd rather you spend the bulk of your time in MM - it needs players. Look how bad the rank-spreads are at times. That's because there's not enough players to do it properly. So more ppl in custom just makes it worse.
  16. Certainly if it gets you the 4th protection slots it IS a good deal. My reply was strictly on the part I quoted - "15UC for 1k is however still good price". I disagree that 15 UC for 1k tk is a good price.

    Players playing MM does bring in money - more than just playing custom battles could. Many players do custom without supplies, drones or ODs. Not needing to buy supplies or upgrade drones saves players lots of crystals and $.
  19. Just because it's 50% of THE LISTED PRICE does not mean it's a good deal. The original price is way to high. Kinda like the 4th module slot at 5000 tk. Even at 2500 tk it would be too expensive.

    They want you playing MM. If you are playing Custom battles for crystals, you are the players they are targeting.
  23. might be doable then. EDIT - what does "directional buttons mostly be used for stabilization" mean? The hovering hulls are always in the air. So how can they turn a corner if those buttons are used for stabilizing?
  24. It sounds like you want to be able to stabilize it and stop it from flipping. Tracked tanks don't get that option. Why should hovering?
  25. So you want them to be un-flippable? ?
